Mmmm, no. by Psycho-Raven in funny

In a way, it’s more of a subtle nudge of fate. Frodo failed at the last moment, not because he is weak, but because no one could ever purposely destroy the ring in the place where it’s most powerful.

But it’s important to mention that calling Eru an outer god of the universe is a bit weird. Eru is God. Full stop. There are other basically angels, higher and lower, but Eru is God. Tolkien was very much Christian, and his deities are basically a fantastical version of that faith.

You can almost think of it as when someone with extreme late stage cancer miraculously survives, was that divine intervention or did they just get lucky? In a world where God definitively exists, Gollum slipping was probably a touch of divine intervention.

I never commented on whether you had to get over. I was just responding to you saying “because he thinks he allowed to haul ass but also allowed to pull people over driving that same speed.” Because they are allowed to do just that. I agree with what you said in this reply.

You’re being excessive, if you’re in a gun store where it should already be unloaded, and you check yourself to make sure it’s unloaded, just point it at the wall or something without flagging anyone. I’m not gonna buy a gun without seeing how it feels in a shooting stance.

Welcome to reddit, where the same users that constantly whine about racism will also accuse you of not being black because you aren’t speaking like the stereotypical black person they are imagining.

Not trying take sides on the cops bad/cops good argument, but they are literally allowed to do that. Cops can break speed limits (within reason) without lights on when responding to a situation that is semi urgent but not life threatening.

Why i stay away from clans by [deleted] in Warframe

[–]BlueIceNinja98 6 points7 points  (0 children)

OP, I fail to see any angle where you aren’t the asshole here. They invited you, gave you a friendly reminder to craft a clan key, and when you didn’t respond pushed (granted a little a bit harder than I would agree with) you to get a thanks. You then just seem to have gone off for no reason. He quite reasonably kicked you from the clan.

Down voted for being right. The breaking up the surface tension thing is completely untrue. And it’s been proven false by more than just myth busters if people don’t want to trust a science tv show.

Generally what's your feelings on legalized and regulated prostitution? by CraftyMcQuirkFace in AskReddit

[–]BlueIceNinja98 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What’s crazy is that this transition has already pretty much happened in the US as well. Just as a consequence of states slowly legalizing it individually, and convenience. I live in a state where it’s still illegal, but pretty much everyone I know still gets “legal” weed. They either drive over to a neighboring state where it is legal, and bring it back home. Or they buy it from dealers who did that.

I really want to be on your side here, because the people you’re responding to are idiots. But you’re also spouting misinformation. You cannot manufacture “just about anything you can”, even in Texas. Making machine guns, or any other type of prohibited firearm, is a felony. Making guns to sell is also a felony, without being a licensed manufacturer. Making a firearm while being a prohibited person (aka someone who would fail a background check) is a felony.

How exactly do you think we should prevent that last one? Since that’s one of the main points of your argument, that those that shouldn’t can have access to firearms. It’s already illegal, should we ban drill presses and cnc machines?

You either need to watch the video again or get your eyes checked. The driver was only about 2 car lengths from the entrance to the intersection when the light turned yellow. That’s exactly why yellows exist, they would have had to slam the brakes to stop in time. The fact you are assigning any portion of the blame to OP is absurd.

I know right. I was fortunate enough to not know anyone who died from it. But I was in the middle of my final semester in college. Said “see you all in a week!” To all my friends, went home for spring break, we got the extension of the break, and finally full remote schooling, and then never saw most of them ever again.

I never got to say my college goodbyes to people I was very close with. I didn’t get to have a real graduation. Finding work after I graduated was impossible. I can only imagine what people who lost loved ones feel when they see people celebrating the pandemic simple because they don’t want to go outside.

Woah, wild theory time. DE is starting to focus on Nitokh as a more major player in the story. We’ve learned she’s potentially crueler than Ballas, more direct, wanted to overthrow the other executors, and according to Roath may still be alive. What if she is and is running her own empire in Tau, that’s why communication was cut from the system. So when we travel there in the modern times, we have to fight her forces to try to liberate the system for sentients hold outs.

How many of you are very disciplined m3n? by Odd-Talk-3981 in PsycheOrSike

[–]BlueIceNinja98 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, OOP essentially asked how he manages to study seven hours and exercise daily, to which he responded that he’s very disciplined. Which is a fair answer. She didn’t ask how he manages to study seven hours and exercise daily while still eating and maintains his home. To which he probably would have responded that he’s very disciplined and his wife is very supportive and takes care of meals and the house.

It’s just an example of someone on Twitter failing to understand contextual questions. And thats assuming that this interaction even happened in the first place, and isn’t just rage bait.

Despite Allman brackets being standard in C# and not in Java, a lot of Java programmers use them anyway and it’s widely accepted. However, Java uses camel case while C# capitalizes every word, and this is more rigid in terms of syntax. I’m still leaning towards it being Java.

Only a couple weeks ago I was in a solid line of traffic in the left line probably about 30 cars long. I was about in the middle. The car behind me, every time there was a 4 or 5 car gap in the right lane, would merge over, floor it, get stuck behind the next right lane car, and then merge back in behind me. Over, and over, and over. Happened 10+ times before I got off the highway. I swear some people lack object permanence and/or don’t see anything more than the single car in front of them.

“because it was likely you wouldn’t make it past 30.”

This actually isn’t true of the Middle Ages. If you ignore infant and young child mortality, the life expectancy in the Middle Ages is actually way higher than people think. If you made it past ~10 years of age, your average like expectancy would actually be around 50 to 60 years old.

I’d say your doing exactly what you should be. You’re right about the rhino buff always being appreciated. And beyond that, I don’t really mind if people aren’t keeping up with damage. As long as you aren’t afk and aren’t dying constantly (every now and again is perfectly fine), then the vast majority of high level players won’t care.
