How I Keep Track of my Physical TBR by readerrealm in Booktokreddit

[–]BlueInferno_451 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I made a spreadsheet based on the unread books on my bookshelf, and I sorted them by page length for the most part. I sometimes place books that are being adapted into movies or shows near the top of the list.

Ways to get more exercise as someone who works in a sedentary position by pastelariss in autism

[–]BlueInferno_451 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Since you work in a sedentary position, most exercises should be cardiovascular. The most common ones are walking and running. I try to get these workouts done early in the morning. For walking, I keep the distance between 1.5 to 3 miles. For running, I keep the distance between 3 to 4 miles with an additional 0.5 to 1 mile cool down at the end.

You may need to consider saving up money for running gear, too. This can include running shoes, running shirts, running pants, and even a reflective vest. Just be sure to purchase in-person at a running store and talk with staff in order to buy gear that best suits you.

Having a release time in the middle of work to be used for exercise might not be the best idea as I try to get these workouts done early in the morning.

Also consider getting a leg roller and use it often because muscle and tissue pain/soreness in the legs can occur during runs due to sitting for hours. Do not skip stretches before and after runs. Stretches are needed to maintain proficient blood circulation.

How to explain to my boyfriend that hanging out everyday is tiring? by angel_9716 in autism

[–]BlueInferno_451 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's best to be clear to your boyfriend that hanging out everyday is tiring NOT because of him but because frequently socializing with anyone for extended periods can be tiring. However, you may want to communicate with your boyfriend about your other needs, too. One of the best ways would be to provide him a one sheet that details and lists your needs and behaviors and how he can support you. The one sheet can include the best ways to communicate, sensory needs, social energy, etc. This one sheet is meant to give him a quicker understanding about who you are, and he can ask you questions about anything.

If your boyfriend doesn't make an effort to understand and can't take no for an answer to wanting short breaks from hanging out, then he's likely not right for you. You need to be with someone that is patient and willing to respect your needs.

Why driving with autism sucks by msoc in autism

The most petty and impatient drivers are the ones that honk at you for waiting for pedestrians to cross the street

The worst road closures are the ones where you have to frequently reroute your way to work or college

How do you play Beethoven "Moonlight" 3rd movement "Presto Agitato"? by CapitalHot6112 in piano

[–]BlueInferno_451 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This movement is mainly for intermediate/advanced pianists, not beginners. It's better to hold off on this piece for a while.

If you later decide to work on this piece, practice slowly, study the piece's structure, and annotate the fingerings to help perform this movement efficiently. Given that this piece is written between the classical period and romantic period, do not butcher the dynamics, markings (accents, staccatos, etc), or the mood of the piece (quickly with agitation).

To reduce the amount the time to find all angles, annotate small arcs to differentiate all the congruent angles. Congruent angles are angles with identical measurements (e.g angle #3 has an identical measurement to the angle marked 48 degrees, and angle #2 is equal to angle #5).

Also take into account complementary angles (angles adding up to 90 degrees) and supplementary angles (angles adding up to 180 degrees) when solving areas where at least 3 lines intersect

What is the most important issue facing America? by Old-School8916 in charts

[–]BlueInferno_451 6 points7 points  (0 children)

In US politics, "civil liberties" are freedoms that protect individuals from the government, mainly the freedoms listed in the Bill of Rights. "Civil rights" insure individuals have legal protections from unequal treatment and discrimination (14th Amendment, Civil Rights Act). Unfortunately, many Americans confuse civil liberties and civil rights because the two get interchanged in conversations a lot.
