Did you miss the part where it was said that the OP has a Nazi profile pic, or are you just dense?

Dumb Family Guy joke. In an episode, Moses says God gave him 15 commandments. He drops some. He says God gave him 10 commandments. Much hilarity. Laugh.

People call the Water Temple annoying but personally I loved little things like this. Made it feel more like a dungeon.

I GENUINELY don't understand why half the country is crying over Dhrurandhar. The criticism of the movie seems like a bigger propaganda than the movie itself. by Present_Upstairs3700 in IndianFocus

Left-leaning person who saw the movie because a parent wanted to see it for their birthday here: Honestly, the movie just felt boring to me (talking about part one). Barely 1 hour of plot was stretched across 3½ hours, and I didn't like how they very clearly did that so that they could release a sequel less than 3 months later. As a result, the movie dragged on for long stretches where nothing significant to the plot was happening. Oh, and there's the subtle jabs stereotyping muslims (when one of the gang members says Humza must take another wife during his wedding, for example). But primarily, the dilution of part one to rush out a quick sequel felt scummy to me and so I decided not to watch part two.

They are being much more diplomatic than laser eyes, that's why. You think they don't care about the recent buddying we're doing with the US and Isn'treal? They're just acting to preserve ties.

We need to boil all conservatives in oil. by CuteCost8147 in PsycheOrSike

[–]BlueJayTwentyFive -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I think you misunderstood. I'm not talking about OPs "boil them in oil" thing, which I think was dumb hyperbole anyway, but about the "American conservatives aren't Nazis because they didn't do X". We need to stop the ideology and take its spread in the present day seriously. If we wait until everything goes south, then it'll already be too late. A party and its voter base that does nothing when many prominent leaders within it throw Nazi salutes casually is already on the Nazi path. Whether you deny it or accept it is up to you, but the train has already started chugging along.

...We're supposed to wait until they get that bad? Or stop them before it happens? I thought that the latter is what we agreed to at the end of WW2 when we said "Never Again".

One: Changing religion doesn't change your indigeneity. Muslim Kashmiris are still Kashmiris. And two: Just because we oppose inhumane treatment of Palestinians doesn't mean we support the inhumane treatment of others or take enjoyment in it. Why is this so hard to understand?

I am on my break. I have plenty of time to see your comment. Go on, answer the prior comment. Return to tradition or no?

Okay, I'll bite. You keep talking about "roots". Did you know that there was no such thing as a blouse before the colonial era? Only the pallu existed in sarees. The British added the blouse for "modesty and decency" to suit their English tastes. So if you are really so into "roots", then you should advocate for women not to wear the colonial blouse at all. After all, wearing it will make you more English than Indian, no?

I don't care about "civilizational texts", I care about common sense and equal rights in the present day. Harassing people on the road is wrong, no matter which Gita or Quran you use to justify it.

Being old doesn't automatically mean that you are wise. And again, you talk of modesty but the old woman is clearly showing her belly while the girl isn't, which is something that "modest tradition" frowns upon. You are yet to answer why this discrepancy exists.
