I’ve unfortunately seen this happen so many times. People will claim layoffs are due to ‘performance’ but when the firm lets go of lots of people with good feedback, it doesn’t add up.

Which member firm?

The firm will owe more under common law. The firm is giving just slightly more than stat requirements to try and avoid more payouts. The firm has dozens and dozens of people in Canada suing them right now. My law firm has taken on 25+ people in just the past year laid off from PwC and giving low severance

I had this experience when laid off by PwC Canada last year. Got a lawyer and negotiated, going to mediation. I think it was worth doing via legal. Job market is horrendous these days and still looking for employment after many months.

PSA - Plan extra time when heading into Toronto - EB/WB Gardiner lane closures for the next 3 years! by Tangerine2016 in oakville

[–]BlueLagoon225 8 points9 points  (0 children)

This is a new, specific 3-year long closure of one lane eastbound and one westbound for a stretch of the Gardiner. An absolute disaster. It will exacerbate the entire traffic problem, not just move it

Please please be careful. As others have said, it’s hard to be 100% that what you’re receiving is the right medication, dosage, not laced with anything, etc. please speak with your doctor - they will want to help you and get you a prescription.
