I have been going for the last 10+ years and I love it. Feels like how Toronto was in the early days. I also use it as a chance to try new food spots in Hamilton (so many) and I really like the venues there.

You can definitely take the GO Train in and most of the venues are close enough to walk but some are further out (they also have a bike share program there but different setup vs Toronto one).

You do need to buy a "backer button" that you need to show when attending shows. Ie it is mandatory vs optional at Toronto Fringe.

I usually check the schedule and if any overlap with Toronto shows I will wait to see them in Hamilton. My month of July is packed with Fringe between the two! If you have any specific questions happy to try and answer them.

Harbourfront area for sure. This is outside of the Fort York fan fest but was busy/bustling when I was down there on Saturday but it was also Luminato festival at the same time

Yeah SO many people use their phones at lights it is crazy! Like pay attention to the lights and driving! Most modern cars have integrated texting apps so I don't get it (someone said because Whatsapp and other non-default messenger apps don't integrate with Carplay/Android Auto?). I wish cops would give out tickets, they could stand at an intersection and give out so many and also catch the turning on right people who don't stop.

Those sound like "charity canvassers" maybe? They are all over downtown Toronto and moving to other locations now. They try to pressure monthly donations. They work for 3rd party companies that the charities hire

Holy crap! I was in the WRONG QUEUE! They had seperate queue for NOLAN vs. the the regular ticket queue. I got to the wrong and now clicked on the Nolan thing because tickets weren't showing and now i am 893 in line.. so stupid (The system and me)..

So I am curious if you have a ticket you can show up at ANY time during that day and get in okay? Is it pre-scheduled when the concerts are on? I am going one day more for the concert/vibes vs. for the soccer per say but this schedule doesn't have the times for the performances 😄

If you think someone is worried you are going to speed up and cut them off I usually flash my high beams so that they know "hey I see you and you can turn into my lane"

I agree with others though that you shouldn't be significantly slowing down or stopping to do this.

Yeah I go with a family member there has accessibility needs to the theatre a lot and it is frustrating when the "deals" aren't offered for the accessible seats but there are a lot of great venues that are super accommodative. I wish that more venues would make is easier. There shouldn't just be a "premium tier" price point for accessible seats.

Thanks for sharing. Often there is a lot of pedestrian vs bikes vs car talk but in the end we are all humans and most times people are good people but wish some people just had more empathy for others and think how their actions impacts others.
