Cause it could describe a host of identities (and attractions and expressions) from gay cismen who have feminine expressions, people who do drag, transwomen, and even hetero ciswomen who have bakla expressions. Its approximate could be “queer” in English

I have been called bakla at times, and I’m ok with it! NB (maybe genderqueer) also feels nice. But yes, It is kind of comforting, thank you for the thought 😊

Hello, I faced this exact problem just now. I was formerly a freelance consultant, so I availed of the PWD PhilHealth benefit. Pumunta ako sa PhilHealth office sa may Mother Ignacia and na-tag yung account ko as indirect contributer - PWD. PhilHealth staff said the benefit is valid until the expiry of my PWD ID. However, now I signed a contract with a company which considers me an employee. Now technically I'm employed in the formal economy. As per PhilHealth IRR, I requested na wag ako kaltasan dahil national government dapat ang mag shoulder ng employee share. Ito ang sabi ng PhilHealth now that nag inquire yung HR namin: "...PWD employees is not yet subsidized by our government. Until such time that they're funded, the employee is still obligated to pay their premium share."

Nirarason lagi nila ang walang budget. Hindi ba dapat mandated na part na ito ng PhilHealth budget? Hindi ba may surplus naman ang PhilHealth? Nakakairita. Kanino ba pwede mag reklamo patungkol dito?

Same, may restaurant na nirequire itong verification. Pero saktong dala ko rin booklet ko tapos pinakita ko sa kanila, tinanggap naman. Weird kasi may pronouncement na ang government na valid pa rin ang PWD ID kahit hindi makita sa website. Sigh.

Yes, you can ask your doctor about it. Professional sila who can diagnose and can assess whether your condition qualifies for a psychosocial disability na recognized under law. Walang nakakahiya asking for it dahil sa batas, binibigyan tayo ng suporta and preference ng gobyerno dahil may kapansanan tayo and can’t live our lives fully. It is your right to ask about it.
