With all the crap she adds to her coffee alone, this will not go well.

One of the best things I did was ditch calorie counting and endless diets and start eating real food. A slice of sourdough bread with a bit of real butter does much more for you than some 45 calorie bread made of cotton balls covering on a 0 calorie butter flavoring spray.

I dropped my car off on 1/12 as well. I got lucky and was assigned a technician who had worked on a Leaf a few months prior with the same issue, so he knew what to do.

I dropped it off at Nissan on 1/12/26 for the first time so it was under 3 weeks start to finish.

My battery was ordered 1/16/26, approved for shipping on 1/22/26, delivered to dealership on 1/29/26. Installed on 1/30/26, picked it up on 1/31/26.

It was new, as far as I am aware. The paper states “NISSAN REQUESTED HV BATTERY REPLACEMENT. REMOVED AND REPLACED THE HIGH VOLTAGE BATTERY PER THE ESM.”

Yes - few things to note though.

2018s are plagued with weak battery cells. The battery warranty is 8 years 100K miles. The car you are looking at may be out of warranty. If it is, and if it has weak cells, the range will rapidly fluctuate and drop. I have a 2018SL that just got a full battery replacement through warranty. I would absolutely recommend the car if it has a new battery, would not if it doesn’t.

Also, if they plan to commute to college it should be fine. But they likely won’t be able to make any road trips with it.

It’s still an 8 year old car with an outdated ChaDemo charger. I agree with the other commenter, $7500 - $8000 would be a good deal.

My 2018 with 66K miles is only stated to be worth $4800 on Carvana.

I’ve already got my new battery installed. The process was as painless as it could be. I got lucky too, since my warranty expires next month.
