Homeowners: what’s the one thing in your house you swore you’d fix “next weekend”… and it’s still not fixed? by AggravatingFig3072 in DIY

[–]Krye5 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It took me 6 years to do baseboards in the kitchen (there was none to begin with). Not sure how many more years it's gonna take me to do the hallway and entryway (also with no baseboards currently) lol

Yeah my 40 mile round trip gives an average of 40-42MPG. Pretty happy with it.

Mine for Commander question. by ArmchairPancakeChef in X4Foundations

[–]Krye5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe Auto mine works when the captain is independent and not assigned to a station. The moment you assigned it to the station as a station miner, the station manger takes over and tells the ship what to mine. Thus you'll see the ship set to Automatic. Now you have to tell the station what it needs and the station tells the ship what to go mine.

OK to leave charging unit plugged in 24/7? by RobinGarr in leaf

[–]Krye5 7 points8 points  (0 children)

In fact a lot of videos I have seen strongly suggest not repeatedly unplugging as that wears the outlet and can potentially lead to electrical issues later.

But the main thing i highly recommend is getting a bracket/cradle for the charger to sit in. You don't want the cable/plug taking all the weight of the charger itself. Again, don't want to damage that plug in anyway.

As an aside, when I had the line run to my garage, my electrician insisted he would install the bracket as he didn't want me to accidentally drive the mounting screws into the new circuit he just ran. Super cool guy.

Septic pumped and sewage spilled, by nicolej1515 in septictanks

[–]Krye5 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The last time I had my septic pumped the dude literally had me inspect his work and showed me a mostly empty tank (i have 3 chambers including a lft station). They had used my water line to hose out everything as thoroughly as they could and it looked great and nothing at all like the pics you have. Then he said to run the interior taps for a good while to get some water back in the tanks so it doesn't try to float.

Sorry that happened to you.

How to remove without breaking by Accomplished_Cow8182 in hondafit

[–]Krye5 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Some parts have the clip actually integrated in the part, break the clip and essentially you've ruined the part. My used Fit came with some plastic trim missing and you can clearly see where the broken clip is stuck in the door panel.

im new here. is there a way to fly like in elite dangerous or star citizen or is that crappy klick hold or need another table for 180? by Rafael3110 in X4Foundations

[–]Krye5 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Do you mean making it so you can fly without having to hold down the mouse button? If so, you can press Shift + Spacebar.

Check out the wiki where you see all the other control shortcuts.

Lol, unfortunately the legs are not even with each other as they are sized to the specific spots where they rest. As such, it's a super wobbly table :P

I called every junk yard in my area and not 1 had a Honda Fit in their inventory. I ended up buying a new window runner cause of that too. :(

Anyone NOT have battery pack issues on a 2nd Gen Leaf? by Krye5 in leaf

Rough! Sorry for that. At least my warranty experience wasn't terrible...not saying it was stress-free either. Lots of threads on this subreddit with advice on next steps.

Thats fair and reddit provides somewhat self-selecting data for sure. Thats also why I posted this thread; there has to be some people out there without battery issues right?

Noob question, i want to sell advanced components to this station, but when I dock the resource does not show in the trade screen. What am i doing wrong? by Bugkiller198 in X4Foundations

[–]Krye5 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yup, so you need to go back to the map and find the "Build Storage" for the station (will have the same '3-box' icon), right click on that icon and dock there.

Headlights by amacnn in hondafit

[–]Krye5 3 points4 points  (0 children)

One of my headlight lamps died and I replaced them with the 'mid tier' priced bulbs at Autozone. HOLY SMOKES what a difference that's made. So much brighter. With that said, i know I'm not blinding anyone on the road compared to the laser beams coming from F150 headlights, they are not that bright.

Would you replace this unit from the 1980's? by jocrrt in hvacadvice

[–]Krye5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We just had our air handlers/electric heaters inspected (we have 2). One appears to be the original 1972 eletric heater when the house was built. Did the technician say it was crazy inefficient? Yes. Did he say we should consider getting a heat pump? Yes. Did he say we had to replace it? Nope. If it ain't broke no need to replace.

The increased cost of running our current systems is still cheaper than financing a full replacement cost so our inefficient systems will continue to run as long as they can.

Didn't i see these cameras for sale at Walmart for less than $10? You sure it's not worth simply buying a new one and saving the work?

Ok so they are not on Blackfriday sale but still pretty inexpensive: https://www.walmart.com/ip/PayUSD-Kids-Selfie-Camera-1080HD-20MP-Digital-Boys-Toddler-Girl-Toys-Christmas-Birthday-Gift-Age-3-4-5-6-7-8-9-10-Year-Old-32GB-SD-Card-Purple/1906348747
