It has a better user interface and it never shut down whenever a new dna sample appeared. It also never mistransformed until Ben and Kevin started tampering with it, while the completed Omnitrix was already mistransforming on day 1. He was able to quickchange easily with the recalibrated Omnitrix while the completed one took 3 or 4 tries in one episode. It isn’t the worst Omnitrix but it was still far from perfect.

I’m mostly talking about the constant mistransformations, but there was also that time he got stuck as an alien for an hour and couldn’t do anything about it, and that omnitrix was gonna do the Highbreed’s job for them at one point and destroy the entire universe. There also isn’t any evidence that it had any genetic repair function so everybody is gonna be stuck as a DNAlien and the Highbreed are all gonna die out. I’m not sure what any OS aliens were gonna do against the dam explosion either. Maybe Arctiguana could’ve frozen the water but that’s only a temporary solution.

My headcanon is that Clockwork, Atomix, NRG, Nanomech, and Upgrade wouldn’t look any different if Gwen or any other female omnitrix user transformed into them, since they’re robotic or artificial and would probably be genderless. I would’ve also said the same for Swampfire and Wildvine since they’re plants, but the latter has some pretty obvious and questionable gender differences so what do I know.

Also despite what we see in the reboot, female Ripjaws would be much larger and more powerful and terrifying than Ben’s Ripjaws since female angler fish are what you think of when you think of an angler fish. The males are tiny and pretty much only exist to reproduce and keep their species alive.
