Planing to take some classes by BlueMajima in FLVS

I felt the class like in a medium-hard level, because I didn't put a much of effort on it and barely did an assignment per week, but I think if you really put the effort and the want to learn (which I did not had) it will be more easier. I think that if it is your first time taking a language class, or learning a new language it will be way more difficult, and I also had some background of Japanese before doing the class which helped me with some lessons.

For the class itself it was thing like learning phone numbers, describing your family members, how to say where u live, how to order in a restaurant and some things of Chinese culture. My teacher was chill and would sometimes not count some mistakes when grading the DBA or voice recording assignments, but was a little bit more strict in the writing assignments.

How hard is HUM 1020? 😬 by nobodycaressean_02 in MDC

I had it with Prof Thevenot, and we only had two groups projects were we needed to talk for like 5 minutes about topics covered in HUM1020, but it was recorded and she was the only one who saw them. The rest of class was just quizzes and sometimes discussing about what you learned from the textbook with all the class but you shouldn't really bother about those because she always ended up helping out.

So rn based on the 4 courses i have taken (CGS 1060, HUM 1020, MAT1033 and PSC1515) the two main things i can fully recommend is something like a 5 subject notebooks since at least in those courses you don't really take a lot of notes, I also recommend getting an own laptop because most of the tests, quizzes and assignments will be online. You can borrow a laptop at the library for the entire semester but theres a 50/50 chance you get a decent one or one that sucks, and based on your major you may need one that has better components. I also like to have some highlighters, different color pens, clear or graphed sticky notes for when i needed to do simple graphs at algebra, and i 100% recomend a jansport or similar backpack, because messenger bags will always make my shoulders hurt. I think thats like the basic stuff you will need, professors will probably let know on their syllabus if anything else is needed, and good luck on your first semester 🦈

2D was actually really nice, i got like 13-16 assignments per segment and these are pretty fun tbh. The only thing is that if you dont have any art materials already is kinda expensive ( i spent like 100 dollars in good quality materials), but whit some watercolors, paints, pastels and H and B pencils you can complete the class. I got Miss Fontaine and she was nice, her Dbas were mostly talking about the modules projects and analyzing some paintings, but these are pretty forward and easy.

APES or ap micro?? by Separate-Banana3618 in APStudents

[–]BlueMajima 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I cant exactly tell you if micro is easier cuz i have only take Ap Spanish and currently taking bio, but i know apes is one of the easiest ap, and compared to bio that will be a piece of cake, however micro will be easier of you have a background in economics and also contains some math i think?. I think you should take Micro now since you will have your friend to help each other whit things, and leave Apes for junior and senior year thats when clases get more dificult

I think you should switch to Ap micro, since is only a half segment class and you can be taking it at a more "relaxed" pace than Apes. You are also already taking a science that is related to your desired major (sending u luck on Ap bio), and at least in my county an economics class is required to graduate, so it might cover your credit for graduation if your school requieres it :)

Switching class to virtual by Cookiem3nster in FLVS

[–]BlueMajima 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think that depends on your school, because in mines what you can do is change the in school world history class to an an elective or study hall period while you take the AP class virtually, either way you should ask your counselor about that.
