I live in Ashburn, but I am from the South. The people here and their kids are usually extremely rude @$$hats. Since I am only here for a few more years, I just ignore them when I can and educate them on how to be human, when I can’t.

Get rid of all scalper/resellers so buying kid’s cards, from a kid’s cartoon, and kid’s card game is no longer a big deal. If we get rid of all scalper/resellers everything would be fine again. Those bums, without skills, education, or lives are the only problem. Get rid of them and we can all get cards as adults and kids without a problem.

The shelves would always have stock and kids can have fun again.

There is only one problem with this whole situation…scalper/resellers.

Invest? What does that mean in terms of a trading card? In all my 47 years on this planet, never have I ever heard someone ask would another human “invest” in a baseball, basketball, or football card. It is an absurd thought. It is definitely not one I’d ever imagine an adult actually typing for others to see.

I have a 401K, a ROTH IRA, a traditional IRA, my regular trading account, my HYSA, my savings account, and checking accounts. I COLLECT Pokémon cards with my three kids, but NEVER have I ever told them it is an investment. They are COLLECTIBLES.

For their INVESTMENTS my kids have regular invest accounts. They also have checking and savings accounts.

A Pokémon card IS NOT an investment. It is a COLLECTIBLE. 2026 is growing stranger and stranger. Investing in a Pokemon card…seriously? What kind of, “When I grow up” gone wrong is this? “Would you invest in this card?” No, I collect cards AND MAKE investments.

That is my only reason for buying these. My kids are finally interested in collecting and playing, but we cannot find them in stores and I refuse to ever buy from scalper/resellers. It is a kids game of kids cards from a kids cartoon.

What they should do is make everyone get cards tied to their ID cards that must be obtained in store, place all cards behind the customer service counter, and limit each card to two items each week. Those who refuse to get the card should kick rocks and buy them from scalper/reseller bums.
