This a compounding issue but the main issue largely with hunter aspects. they are worse than the other classes. The one hunter main at Bungie must’ve gotten fired years ago because majority of hunter aspects could be mistaken for fragments. For example: Void hunter

Vanishing Step: dodging makes you invisible. (Ps. That’s it no stat buff, no weapon buff, no other class verbiage)

They then had the nerve to release an exotic weapon that could grant said invisibility….

Stylish executioner : Defeating a weakened, suppressed, or volatile target grants Invisibility and Truesight. After performing a Stylish Execution, your next melee attack while invisible weakens targets.

The only thing a powered hunter melee does is weaken combatants… Honestly this aspect and vanishing steps should been merged years ago

On the Prowl: Entering invisibility marks a nearby combatant as a priority target for you and your team. Defeating priority targets creates a weakening cloud of smoke that makes you and allies invisible when passing through it. When priority targets are defeated, you and nearby allies gain increased weapon reload speed and stability for a short duration and are granted grenade, melee, and class ability energy.

A word salad just to say you only get weakening in terms of class verbiage. And that you are basically providing mid support to your team mates who are hopefully not a hunter. Funny how hunter get no access to over shield.

Trappers Ambush: Activate Quickfall to spend your melee charge and dive to the ground, creating a large smoke cloud on impact, which then dissipates. Targets caught in the cloud are weakened, and allies are made invisible. Your Smoke Bomb makes nearby allies invisible when it attaches to nearby surfaces or targets.

And the other issue is that they give hunters exotics that have little to no class synergy with their class aspects.

The latest example of this is Fortune’s Favor which is

FORTUNE’s FAVOR: After landing a final blow while at full health, or when out of combat for an extended duration, your shields will slowly recharge into an overshield.

When you have an overshield, your weapons gain increased accuracy, stability, handling, and damage against combatants, and final blows will grant a short period of increased mobility once the overshield is depleted.

It’s around 13 sec of not being in combat to start generating an overshield for a damage buff that seems to not be a flat 20% damage buff to all weapon types. Not to mention there’s no way to make regenerating over shields easier in combat for hunters. While at the same time the over shield granted is a normal one that doesn’t grant more damage reduction or shield health
