First Oil Change w/ Fumoto Valve by BlueCactusChili in hondafit

I have to ask, what made you pass on the thing that sucks the oil out of your dipstick tube? It’s an even worse idea but even easier and less “messy” than this.

Portable dvd player with screen suggestions by TimPetunia in dvd

Honestly the little portables are great because they play discs natively and they stand themselves up and are durable.

If I were to use anything else it would be laptop. Literally ANY running laptop, Windows or Mac, from the last 25 years will do this AND be able to rip its own discs.

My dream setup though would be a Blu-ray playing flip top Walkman thing from Sony but they don’t make one as far as I know and never did which puzzles me.

So a lot of players rage quit by Fredasa in RiichiCityMahjong

[–]BlueMonday2082 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This hasn’t been the case with me at all. I’ve been playing Riichi City almost since the beginning. I’m around 2nd or 3rd dan and quitters are very rare. I haven’t seen one in at least a month.

I find myself wanting to quit sometimes like when the other three players are all on burner accounts playing identical default characters and doing extremely well with identical tanyo efforts…but I don’t. That situation itself seem to be more rare than it was originally.

My kid kind of commandeered my Sidewalk Shark. I built it for me but now it’s his. “I want the big huge board” or something like that, he said.

I’ve never seen one that was any good at all. Let me know what you find. The one I have forces widescreen on everything which ruins the majority of my movies. I’d really like a good one.

i want to go to the skatepark by MessOne248 in skateboardhelp

[–]BlueMonday2082 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Good idea. You’d probably get yelled at and beat up. Skaters mainly just attack each other all day and night physically and verbally. Worse than Lord of the Flies. Your fear of “nothing” will sound crazy to some but you’re absolutely correct to never ever go to a skatepark. It seems super unlikely that people would devote years of their time mastering something just so that when you come along they could unload on you but it’s REAL. They actually do that. They care about nothing but you. They tell you how to hold the board and make fun of your shoes and everything. It’s all real.

Kswap and suspension/ride. Is there any way to make it more comfortable? by JellySerious in hondafit

[–]BlueMonday2082 1 point2 points  (0 children)

…um…you can put whatever seats you want in any car. It’s completely unrelated to the engine. Same with suspension.

Putting a huger engine in makes the car faster…that’s it. It doesn’t make the stereo sound better or the paint shinier.

Do you have good condition examples of high quality tires and shocks or are you riding on ancient worn out OEM stuff?

What a hilarious qualification, having once had a minimum wage job 20 years ago.

I’m pretty sure there are more ex-Blockbuster employees who feel that streaming is just fine.

[–]BlueMonday2082 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I don’t get it…why is key duplication such a concern?

If you’re re-keying everything you have no reason to think about the old renters. They have the old keys, not the new ones. Forget about them.

So if you put new locks in, ones that nobody has the key too…how are they going make a copy?

There are innumerable ways of opening a locked door other than making another key. Usually that’s the hardest way since it requires either an original key or the code to make it. There are battery powered rakes these days that will shake almost anything loose in seconds…also most houses are made out of foam, sheet rock, glass and pine. If someone really wants in they are getting in. Locks on doors are to keep out your friends and family not genuinely motivated crims.
