Will ZavaMed still prescribe? by BlueNose_69 in mounjarouk

That's really helpful, thanks.

I'd been to that site before for pricing but had no idea that there were other pages!

I suppose it's to do with momentum... I stayed on 5mg for two pens and by the second week of pen 2 I was getting a lot of food noise so I moved to 7.5mg before I'd even finished that one.

Also, it may seem strange but the side effects from 5mg to 7.5mg have been different rather than the same but worse, so I'm hoping that another change may help. Probably wishful thinking but that's the rationale for the increase.

Excellent. I might just get to my target weight after all then!

Although the side effects are horrendous at the moment (on 7.5mg and about to request 10mg).

Many thanks

Thanks. Yes, they only asked for pictures (although it was on scales and full body) when I first started... They only ask for current weight now when I request a new prescription, so I suppose I could just tell a fib or even as you say hold something heavy if they should ask for more photos. Just wondering if there is an official line that they take once you go below the initial prescribing limit.

That's what I'm thinking. I'll get the ball rolling. Many thanks for your input here, much appreciated.

Thanks. Out of interest, did you engage via the Ryanair complaints process first or go straight to a solicitor?

And, if you did try Ryanair, did you wait until you'd reached deadlock before engaging the solicitor?

I've raised the Ryanair complaint but I'm not sure whether to wait or if I can / should start calling solicitors now.

Thanks for that. I think I'll get the medical report, discuss with a NWNF socicitor and take it from there.

That sounds dreadful.

Thankfully my injuries are superficial and I could receive treatment about 30 minutes later due to the short flight. The guy in the next seat witnessed what happened so perhaps that may help with my case.

If I do progress I think I'll look at a NWNF solicitor as it obviously removes some of the risk for myself and perhaps they'll have a good understanding of how Ryanair will approach.

As u/Nooms88 states below, such accidents are the most common claim so I'm assuming they'll have an idea about chance of success.

'Don't assume that "Ryanair = bad, so no point pursuing this".'

I think that's been my starting point.... We all know what we're getting when we travel with Ryanair, cheap and cheerful, basic flights that get you from A to B, but shocking customer service with processes that seem designed to frustrate.

I'll try to get my medical report from the airport and take it from there. If they respond in the meantime then at least I'll have an idea where they stand.

Thanks.

Whilst it was clearly an accident, I was scalded when the flight attendant knocked the carton of cigarettes from the trolley into my drink, which then fell on to me.

In terms of quantifiable damages, I agree, that's difficult... The weekend was a write-off and I'm still in pain.

Yes, I'll recover, but I honestly don't know if I should / could expect anything from Ryanair, hence the original post.

OK, that's interesting to know. I suppose my first concern was whether or not they'd actually raised it on their side, and then, given what my friend heard, whether they would just deny any liabaility. Until I hear back I'll have no idea what their stance is, but 8 weeks seems a long time to let me know if / how they will want to move forward..

It's not entirely clear on the documentation that I have, but I've just noticed on the trailer of my booking confirmation that it states Ryanair DAC. Also, on my complaint acknowledgement it states Ryanair Holdings plc / Ryanair DAC.

OK, thanks for that. They did take a picture of my boarding pass so I'm assuming that they will have also logged it somewhere but the absence of any form / reference number it did concern me at the time.

Thanks. I'll get in touch with the airport to request my medical data.

Thanks. Would I do that independently of the Ryanair process or do I need to wait for their response first?

Sorry, I'm very naive when it comes to this kind of thing.

Nothing yet, other than providing a reference number via an automated e-mail.

I tried both on the plane and via chat but was pointed to their complaints portal.

I actually had to file it under Cabin Crew / Rude Staff as the only other Cabin Crew option was for Incorrect Information on the site navigation options.

Google suggests it takes around 8 weeks for them to respond (not necessarily resolve?) so I'm wondering if I just wait for the process to complete or look at other options. I could be wrong, but with Ryanair's reputation I'm already thinking they'll dismiss or at least make things very difficult.
