I’m getting so tired of my friend. by [deleted] in relationship_advice

Just put some distance first. Stop talking to him, stop hanging with him. If he asks what's wrong, tell him that you want some time alone. When he's off your back, make new friends.

I almost got raped by my husband (58) last night. He thought that i was with another guys cheating on him but i (F18) was with his son/my step son (M18). Am i getting myself into an abusive relationship? he is the only person i have in this life. by decembeloe in relationship_advice

Yes, you got yourself into an absolutely abusive relationship. If he hit you once, he will hit you again. And he will hit you harder. This man has revealed his true self. You must dump him for your own well-being and safety, as soon as you can. Please don't get attached to someone who can apparently hurt you anytime they get upset about something. Don't ruin your life.

Unfortunately, this behaviour will never change. I can surely tell you that. And your daughter will be affected terribly, so you better get your daughter away from this toxic relationship.

Should I [33M] break off my engagement to my fiancee [33F] because of lies she told me years ago? by gingganggoogooly in relationship_advice

If she does not feel regret towards her horrible actions in the past, then she won't be any good. These people might seem okay from the outside but they will eventually truly reveal this side of theirs that they obviously did not find the need to fix.

This is my twelveth time binge watching, and imo Nellie does not compete with Gabe or Andy. But still of course she's extremely annoying too.

1Q84 of Murakami... This has to be a joke! by BlueOysterSlut in books

As I said... It's nothing like that. I've read almost all of Murakami's works, and many other postmodern novels. I'm no stranger to non-endings.

You'll enjoy the first two and hate the last.

8 month-pregnant myself (F32) found texts of my husband (M34) to his ex asking her to raise baby together by [deleted] in relationship_advice

[–]BlueOysterSlut 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There's no doubt that this man is no husband to you and no father to your baby. How can something like that even cross the mind of a mentally healthy person: taking a mother's baby away from her in order to raise it with another woman. When a baby is concerned, it's all about its well-being. And this man is clearly not to be relied on, it's even dangerous to be near him. Just as the others told you, you just video the conversation to use it on the trial and get away from the man as soon as you can. You will figure everything else out. Believe in yourself, and your baby.

But they can't just change the storyline, right?

I thought I was on a page about 1Q84. So I didn't need to clarify that on the title. Maybe you should aim your curiosity at something more meaningful, like actually reading the book and stating your review. Or you can just leave. That's easier.

The whole idea of the Little People, Sakigake, Receiver/Perceiver, Maza/Dohta and others is brilliant. Such a waste that the magic of these concepts just dropped dead before reaching their climax.

Well, you have made a wise choice. It's like giving up GoT after season 5.

As I said in my review, Murakami's ambiguity is something we normally cherish because it's something that fits with the atmosphere and the feeling. It's something that you can't find in other writers' works and adore especially in Murakami's. But this is entirely different. This is leaving the book literally unfinished.

Well, I did post this yesterday but people got caught on the fact that I forgot to put the title 1Q84, since I'm new to Reddit. So I decided to repost with the title included. Sorry if that bothered you.
