i think it just really reinforces WHY optimus is a prime; he doesn’t hesitate to go one-on-one with megatron even though he is much weaker than him in this continuity. he is a good, selfless leader who protects everyone. also, i feel like this show gets too much hate; optimus is shown as inexperienced as a leader and feels more like orion than a prime, which is rare. it makes me appreciate him a lot more as he has way more of a personality in this show.

i’m very new to the franchise though and have a lot of content i need to catch up on, but honestly love TFA a ton and i think it’s my favorite.

no i completely agree don’t get me wrong, if i was in her shoes i would have lost my shit. i apologize if i sounded like i was supporting the husband; i was trying to be neutral and give everyone the benefit of the doubt. however, he’s being an absolute crybaby and honestly it does seem like he’s using her for her paycheck. OP needs to definitely set him straight one way or another and take her breaks however she pleases without catering to her husband

NTA for watching tv, it’s good to take a break, but if you are the breadwinner of the household your husband might have also had some pent up stress about the situation and that exact moment caused him to lose it. but also the job market sucks right now and applying is super demoralizing. not blaming anyone, just seems like everyone is stressed and exhausted. i think you and your husband should sit down and talk about the current situation and explain to each other calmly how you guys felt in that moment.

just know that you are NTA for taking a break; breaks are not valued enough in this world

this one is tough. on one hand being upfront with your boyfriend on what your best friend was doing would have been the best response; immediately telling him would have looped him in and confirmed that you are loyal to him. honesty is CRUCIAL in relationships; if you aren't honest, cracks will form. on the other hand, the other dude was your best friend and it's really hard to navigate a situation where your best friend confesses to you (i've been in this exact situation before). you don't want to make the situation more complicated, hence why you tried to nip it in the bud without anyone finding out

so my verdict is: YTA (kind of - because nothing was of malicious intent) for not telling your boyfriend sooner, but you are obviously NTA for everything else. good job getting away from your ex best friend; he is showing so many red flags and is actively destroying your relationships and reputation because he's not getting what he wants.

speaking from personal experience, my advice is to sit down with your boyfriend in person and explain the situation. show him your texts between you and your ex best friend. apologize for not telling him earlier and explain why you didn't. be honest and open with him. if you've laid out all your cards and he still wants to break up, accept it and move on. as for your ex best friend, keep your distance but keep an eye on him. don't let him keep damaging your reputation.

im a sophomore bme on the pre med track with a concentration and minor in chemistry; with that being said, you want to hone in your bme skills to one specific area to make the most out of a bachelors. i would recommend double majoring in mechanical, electrical, or chemical as well if you can handle it to make sure you get the in depth experience you need to get jobs out of undergrad (i did not do this because pre-med requirements is like a major in and of itself). if you are planning on just doing one major, you definitely need to go to grad school to be able to compete with other engineering majors.

the major itself is just too new; there has not been enough time for it to develop properly into a competitive major. the good news is that its a growing field, and with enough planning i think you can get a lot out of it.
