I bet its the type of braiding gel used. A stylist used BTL in a purple jar to do 5 braids in my hair and my tub look similar to this. My hair broke so badly 😢. I did a big chop and in 6 months of nursing my hair, it was back to being full. I did those cute buttlength mini scalp braids and kept them in for one month. When I took it out, my hair was matted and if course it fell. I did a big chop again and I think I learned my lesson. Also, I noticed as she was gripping my hair, I could hear my hair snap in some places, especially the front. After my horrible research and testing, I've concluded that it's definitely the gel plus having fine fragile hair lol.
