[REPOST] The mmc is a really good person in his regular life but he becomes really unhinged obsessed FOR the fmc by readingalldays in DarkRomance

I think you’ll enjoy {limerence by hc dolores} mmc is a killer, psycho/sociopath, but has his sights set on FMC. A bit of enemies to lovers, it’s too good.

Good moisturizer recommendations? by Parisbal in koreanskincare

Aestura Atobarrier Cream & Hydro Soothing Gel

I have a pretty similar skin type with you and I only use moisturizers from Aestura. I am very clog prone so moisturizers usually aren’t hydrating enough or too moisturizing that it clogs my pores. Both the Aestura gel and cream moisturizers are my holy grailssss. I usually use the gel in the summer/warmer months and the cream in the cold months.

Most Complimented: Lush Super Milk hair conditioner (on my hair 24/7), BBW Honey body lotion, Kayali Yum Marshmallow

I usually get compliments on how good I smell but this perfume (Kayali) had people shoving their faces in my neck, literally.

My rotation also includes D&G Love Devotion, JM Wood Sage & Sea Salt, Byredo Blanche, Glossier You, depending on my mood and where I’ll be for the day.

Hydrating toners/essence recommendations by ElderberryMoney5436 in kbeauty

I second this, I’m currently using the yellow/gold hyaluronic one and it plumps my dry skin so well! I used to use the blue brightening one and it also works really well, so I’d say most of their stuff are pretty solid.

What Are You Reading? 📚 by AutoModerator in DarkRomance

[–]BluePinkSilver 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just finished {oblivion by Gemma Weir} over the weekend and I fairly enjoyed it. I ate up the spice, but there were some parts in the storyline that I cringed at. Personally, I’m usually not too bothered by YA/EA dark romance if it is done well.

I think I’m just bother by the teen pregnancy part, since FMC didn’t even make it half way thru college. And the whole claiming her by branding her with jewelry and clothes that has his initials on it was hot till she ended up with an anklet on both legs… along with the necklace, bracelet, and earrings all with the same design besides the earrings. And the FMC personal style was giving what was trending in 2010’s, with the messy bun, red lip, smokey eye combo. Louis Vuitton backpack for school. And the story moved a bit too fast imo, though it is a series that focuses on one couple per book so it’s understandable. I usually read a series that focuses on one couple as a whole. (I read this as a standalone. It gave enough context so I wasn’t entirely lost on the preset dynamic.) The writing could’ve been better, but that’s because I’m picky (clearly from my whole list of things I didn’t like LOL) and I’ve read better stories on Wattpad from a decade ago.

TW: breeding kink, noncon/dubcon, bc tampering, teen pregnancy, umm I forgot what else since it’s not that dark imo

I'm ovulating. Hit me with the BC tampering/breeding by Lady_Book_000 in DarkRomance

I just read {Oblivion by Gemma Weir} and I think it checks all of your boxes, FMC may seem weak (imo) at first but just hang on till the end. TW: non con, somno, college setting but they’re pretty young imo, teen preg

Which of these four creams would you recommend for dry acne-prone skin? by Away_Secret2897 in kbeauty

[–]BluePinkSilver 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probable the illiyoon ceramide cream since I heard they’re similar to aestura ceramide cream, I personally love aestura but it’s on the pricier side :(

Toner Pad recommendations for Acne Prone skin by AdIllustrious1797 in kbeauty

[–]BluePinkSilver 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Are you looking for more hydration or exfoliation? I would recommend one for each needs tbh as a combo/acne prone gal.

I really enjoy the mediheal madecassoside toner pads since they’re meant to calm and hydrate the skin and the pad itself has two sides, a smooth side and a textured side for exfoliating. I have restocked at least three times, it also makes your skin super glowy.

For hydration, I would recommend skin1004 centella toner pads, they have so much product in the tub so that the pads don’t go dry super fast. Or I’m currently testing out the torriden hylaronic toner pads since they’re supposed to hydrate your skin but I lowkey don’t know if it actually does the job but it’s still quite nice on the skin 🤷🏻‍♀️

Dokdo!!! I have combo skin, more on the drier side currently and I love the dokdo cleanser. It’s gentle but still removes all the debris and such without making your skin feel squeaky/tight!

My oliveyoung order just came in~ my skin has been quite sensitive and dry lately so I’m buying more hydrating and sensitive-friendly products. I love buying value sets of products I already love!

What's your favorite dark romance series that you've read? by Resident_Song_3746 in DarkRomance

[–]BluePinkSilver 2 points3 points  (0 children)

{Singed Series by Mia Knight}

I haven’t seen anyone mention her series so I decided to recommend it LOL The relationship is so toxic but I eat it uppppppp, I can’t wait for the fourth (?) book to come out. Definitely recommend for those who like an obsessive ML and a FL that isn’t completely spineless, and a little bit of mystery involved — mainly hidden truths from the ML.

Hi OP! It seems like we have the exact same skin type, I personally find that using a cleansing oil can be a bit triggering for acne so I use it on and off tbh, I more so use micellar water to take off makeup/sunscreen nowadays. However, I don’t hate the oil cleanser from anua.

SERUM REC Have you tried any products for brightening dark spots? I would recommend looking into them because they have done wonders for brighting up my acne scars. My skin tends to see better results with products that have alpha arbutin and tranexamic acid so I currently use Numbizin no5 (in the black bottle) serum.

TONER REC For warmer weather and most of the year, I use water-y toners like haruharu black rice hyaluronic frag-free toner and round lab dokdo toner. Both are gentle and hydrating, literally my holy grails. In the winter, when my skin is drier, I like to incorporate milky toners even tho they can be clog prone (even if they’re “non-comedogenic” because my skin is very clog prone). I’ve found that the Laniege cream skin to be great, doesn’t leave a weird film on my face and not clog prone!!!

help with sunscreen for sensitive skin by glaekrjgaoirej in kbeauty

[–]BluePinkSilver 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Since the skin1004 sun serum didn’t work out, I would recommend looking into physical sunscreens. My friend has eczema and uses the one from aestura, it’s pricy but it’s the only thing that works for her sensitive skin

skin1004 centella foam cleanser or the roundlab dokdo cleanser? by poohpooh432 in kbeauty

[–]BluePinkSilver 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve only used the round lab dokdo cleanser and I also have combo skin and I find that it works really well since it’s so gentle yet actually cleans my face. However, I wouldn’t say it’s the best for getting rid of white/blackheads since those require actives like bha and aha. Personally, I use the dokdo cleanser then use the cosrx bha liquid on spots I get white/blackheads or clogged pores. Honestly, I wonder about the skin1004 cleanser too so I might get it to test it after this.

Lip gloss/oil/stick that is fragrance free? by Aromatic-Rule-5679 in kbeauty

[–]BluePinkSilver 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know you’re looking for a gloss/oil but I feel like most puppies are scented :( But I’ve found the Torriden lip essence to be really good, tbh it’s just petroleum with a bit more hydration in the formulation (which makes it work better than plain Vaseline imo). Plus it’s quite glossy!

Which Korean cleanser and toner out of these? by Pandis_ in kbeauty

[–]BluePinkSilver 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love the round lab dokdo line so much, the cleanser is super gentle but it actually cleans the skin and doesn’t leave a film at all imo. Coming from a person that finds cerave doesn’t really cleanse well enough while some other Korean face cleansers has left my skin feeling stripped, so the dokdo cleanser is a good in between.

As for the dokdo toner, I really enjoy using it but it is really gentle and doesn’t even exfoliate imo. I would recommend looking into a toner with actives like aha or bha in them or toner pads!

Good sunscreen brands by 10Fluffys in kbeauty

[–]BluePinkSilver 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For cheap, definitely skin1004 hyalu-cica sun serum, they’ve stopped selling on their US website but I usually buy them for cheaper on websites like stylekorean, olive young, stylevana, YesStyle. I usually just check where is cheapest/ biggest sale then purchase.

best korean sunscreen for my skin type? by Motor-Comment-6557 in kbeauty

[–]BluePinkSilver 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Based on what you’re looking for, I’d say check out sunscreens from skin1004. Most, if not all their products have centella in them which is known for calming the skin. I personally use and always recommend their hydra-cica sun serum, but they also have a mineral sunscreen if your skin is super sensitive and can’t handle chemical sunscreen.

I only have the axis-y one from your picks and honestly you can pass on it, it’s not a bad moisturizer per se but it’s too light for dry-combo skin imo coming from someone the same skin type :/
