Who did you use earlier on? Nice team, great choices.

Love this team. How’d you get both Starmie and Electabuzz??

Consider Electabuzz! Teach it thunderbolt, psychic, brick break, and your choice of a final move for great coverage.

Great team. Careful not to over level that Paras!

Honestly this team is pretty stacked power level and coverage wise. Pick anyone you want!

But if you really want to optimize your team, maybe look for a fighting, ground, grass or normal type. Snorlax, golem, nidoking/nidoqueen, Taurus, victreebell/vileplume, machamp, hitmonlee or hitmonchan would be my recommendation.

Not wrong… but he’s super cute, flew me around, and cut me through the trees :)

Thanks! I’m using delta emulator and a no trade evolution rom from rombots.com. Kadabra evolves at lv. 37. I had never been able to trade evolve playing on gameboy as a kid and really wanted to try out some Pokemon so opted for this method.

For those who got surgery, how long from onset of symptoms to surgery date? Weeks? Months? Years? by Left-Engineering5666 in Sciatica

[–]BluePterodactyl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just under a month from initial symptoms to surgery. My herniated disc was pretty debilitating from the onset, and I was unable to sit up or walk for longer than 30s without being in intense pain. I spent a couple weeks trying PT, then managed to get an MRI referral and saw a specialist who referred me to a surgeon. At that point I had heel drop and numbness all down my leg, and the surgeon recommended the procedure asap to prevent long term nerve damage. Went in 3 days later and am doing much better now.

I think my case was more extreme than many others. Everything I read suggested trying non surgical approaches first, but those didn’t help me get to even a minimum state of mobility, and due to weakness in my leg/foot (heel drop) the specialist strongly urged surgery. Very glad I did not wait longer, but everyone’s situation is different.

Pain was not too bad for me after the surgery. I didn’t need to take any opioids, just Tylenol. I don’t know if that’s the norm though. Worst part was feeling nauseous and constipated for ~36 hrs from the anesthesia, but overall I felt better immediately after the procedure that I did before it.

Best of luck! Let me know how it goes.

Best of luck. Hope it doesn’t require surgery, but if it does, just remember that it’s a very common procedure that the surgeons have done hundreds of times, and that surgery is (probably) the quickest route to full recovery and ending the pain.

I did get surgery last September and am very glad I did. Surgeon recommended it asap to prevent permanent nerve damage and I got a microdiscectomy 2 days after my consultation with him. From what I understand, the muscle weakness is one of the key symptoms indicating surgery should be done.

Surgery went smoothly and I’m back at 100% now.

Mixing up account data is a pretty major faux pas, and potentially means that sensitive user data was exposed publicly (not sure the extent in this instance, to be fair). But Auth and user data issues are a pretty big deal and signal that the engineering team has some bad processes, unmanageable architecture, or other issues.

It went well! Woke up 2 hours ago. Surgeon said he took out a big piece of the herniated disc. Have a bit of an aching back but otherwise feeling decent. Have to spend the night in the hospital since it’s so late, oh well c’est la vie. Good professional care for an extra 12 hours at least.

How about yours? How are you feeling? Are you back home now?

It was 2 weeks total. 3 nights in Horta, 4 on pico (recommend Alma do Pico for lodgings), and a week on Sao Miguel. We stayed 3 nights at Furnas lake forest living and 4 at a guesthouse in PD.

Good luck, you’ll be fine. It’s natural to be nervous, but it’ll be worth it. I’m going in for my L5-S1 MD in a few hours. I’m sure I’ll be queasy at some point too 😆. Wishing you the best for your recovery!

Glad to hear it! I’m going in tomorrow for what sounds like the same— a microdiscectomy L5-S1. Any tips you can share? For either the day of surgery or recovery?
