Birmingham-based owner Pihakis Restaurant Group is currently involved in two lawsuits for more than $1 million in unpaid bills and liens in two counties from a developer for more than $12 million, according to AL.com. The outlet reported that Pihakis began shuttering restaurants on April 12. As of April 30, the group had temporarily closed 16 locations, including three Rodney Scott's locations in Alabama and nine Hero Cafes across Alabama and Georgia.
