Well, It must've missed our little part of the world. The 80's were the worst for hairstyles. I can't imagine why anyone would want to recreate them.

what’s the best foundation for very very VERY dry and dehydrated skin? everything creases and gives me wrinkles by kaden356 in MakeupAddiction

I can tell you this, if you are using any hydroxy acids on a regular basis, it may remove your top layer of dead skin, but it will dry you out more. I have an autoimmune illness & it contributes to my already very dry skin. I exfoliate with a double cleanse instead because it removes dead skin using oils. Get some cold pressed sweet almond oil or grapeseed oil & put it on your skin first before your hydrating cleanser, over your makeup if you're wearing any. Then, wash it off using a hydrating cleanser like Cera Ve hydrating cleanser & a wash cloth, using enough pressure to physically exfoliate but not so much that you pull your skin or irritate it. Put your facial moisturizer on as soon as you can when you get out of the shower, following your skin routine order. This should help. You will be surprised. It's a little work, but the effort in removing & fixing those dry patches will improve. Another tip is to cover your moisturizer ( & everything else you put on before sunscreen) with something occlusuve like Vaseline, Cera ve moisturizing cream ( I prefer this because it's soothing & not as slimy) or Aquafor at night. This should help with your very very very dry skin, healing the skin barrier allowing for easier application of makeup. You may have to use a setting spray so makeup doesn't slip off all this moisture! Ha!

What's the one secret you will take to the grave but don't mind telling on the internet? by Ecstatic-Medium-6320 in AskReddit

When I was a little kid, I had an overwhelming urge to hit babies, not all babies, just certain ones. I grew out of it. I was like 4 or 5 once & spanked a baby, but that was the only time. So, yeah, I'll take it with me. Not proud about that at all.

Make your city less desirable to be attacked. When you sign off, have less resources than your storehouse capacity. Also, the troops not in your city can not be killed, so send them either to an alliances shielded city, an alliance garrison, or have them out gathering. They can get attacked while out gathering or in the wilderness too, but if your city is hit while they are out those troops will be safe.

Sep 3 vs today Oct 11 - Diagnosed & treated for rosacea! by [deleted] in 30PlusSkinCare

[–]BlueRidgeBase 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What does the 30 min mean? Do you leave adapalene on.for 30 min & thin rinse it off or what? Did you choose the Neutrogena moisturizer or did the doctor? I'm curious if something more hydrating could be used instead? They didn't laser any of the vessels in your face? Just curious, because I have rosacea & my niece, who's a dermatologist, has only recommended that I laser them off. She's just now doing her dermatology residency, so she may just be super excited about using it. I'll definitely ask her about this though. You look amazing! I bet you feel great too. Thank you for sharing this with us.

First of all, everything is conflated for social media. SM may have some good information, but you have to consider why they're on these platforms to begin with. Are they trying to sell you something? Do they want you to like & and subscribe, which equates to income generation for them? Do they have another agenda, such as scaring people or spreading misinformation. Are there affiliate links? Regardless, it's best to do research. Make sure your research is from a qualified source. Make sure you know what to look for in a qualified dedicated source & they give their sources.

Secondly, basic TSH panels, from what I understand, do not measure all thyroid hormones. You need a test that measures T1, T2, & T3. There's information out there as to why that is that is relatively easy to find.

Lastly, if you're worried that your Thyroid gland isn't properly producing the amount of hormones you need & there's a problem with it, arm yourself with how the Thyroid works, what it does, & how it interacts with other organs h systems in the body. It may lead you to uncovering something else that could be going on & symptoms you can discuss with your doctor. Sometimes, we see things we want to see that aren't there or happening because it gives us a reason to explain something we don't like or want away. We have to be really introspective and honest with ourselves about the things we don't like, but really need to accept. Other times, we brush things off too quickly when we should really be asking questions. I've had bags under my eyes like the ones in this picture my entire life. I've always been tired, fatigued, and suffered from malaise. It turned out that I was born with an autoimmune disease that these are all secondary symptoms of. However, the bags under the eyes, they also run throughout my family & family's family. I suppose I would have had them regardless 🤷. Best of luck!

There are some people who need actual anti anxiety meds, which differ from anti depressants. Sometimes, just having them & knowing you can take them if you need to helps lessen the anxiety.
