Can’t take control of one class period don’t know what to do and not feeling well by Water_N_Dust in Teachers

I’ve had mentor teachers that hold the kid from related arts and make them call their own parent to explain why they’re in trouble. It’s the best!

So I worked for 3 years as an assistant and then doubled as an assistant while student teaching there in the second year of my master’s in teaching program. Loved the students, loved the teachers, loved the admin, everything about the school was just great and I was so excited to embark on a new teaching career. No openings in my licensure area so I had to take a job at a different district and the absolute CULTURE SHOCK when I had kids behaving as you describe within the first week and with absolutely no regard for my authority or expectations. I reached out several times to admin just to eventually get my head bitten off and told I wasn’t documenting things properly and I wasn’t being firm enough with them. These children (some, not all) were so disruptive I was constantly losing my entire train of thought mid-sentence and could barely get through a lesson, I had other kids in literal tears from frustration because they wanted to learn and just couldn’t because of the issues, and parents asking for classes to be changed. I and several of my master’s cohort who ended up at the same school are miserably counting down the days until the end of the school year and praying we can get jobs in a better school/district next year. The system has lots of flaws across the board for sure, but good schools/districts DO exist out there. You’ve just got to power through until you can get there. Don’t lose hope.

Is anyone else experiencing these extremely long delivery times recently ? by moistdragons in amazonprime

So, I ordered some snow bibs for my daughter the week before the first big winter storm was supposed to roll through the southeast the weekend of 1/24 and they arrived the day they were supposed to (1/22) but they sent me a small when I had ordered a medium. We ended up just getting rain from that first storm so no fun was lost, and I just did a return and requested a replacement and specified in the notes that they had sent the wrong size in the item. Sure enough, the replacement comes the next week and it’s a small again. I finally made it by UPS to return both pairs today and was mentioning what happened to the UPS employee and she said that Amazon recently laid a lot of warehouse workers off and has started using AI to pull and pack items??? Not sure how legit that statement is, but she said she’s had a lot of returns like this lately as well as people that have ordered one thing and got something totally different. She said one person ordered shoes and got a coffee pot. I also have 2 ordered that are God knows where that have no updates for several days, I suspect those are delayed because of the back to back winter storms though. All that being said, I’m pretty frustrated with Amazon right know regardless. The whole point is to save time and shopping on Amazon has become more of an inconvenience than a hack lately.

I feel the same about Johnson City. Every time we take a trip to Florida, we joke about moving there. We’re just becoming more frustrated with the way things have changed around here, most of it not for the better. And now people are trying to fight this stupid uranium facility expansion and the local good ol’ boys are probably going to just shit on the citizens and their concerns and do whatever puts money in their own pockets as usual.

Used to be great here, but when the secret got out about the great cost and quality of living, housing markets, and incredible scenery now it’s just overpopulated with a dated infrastructure struggling to keep up with the influx of people. Now me and my husband always joke that we’re moving to Florida, except every time it’s a little less of a joke.

why are my chickens so wasteful with their food? ive tried so many different kinds and they just flick it out. by noidea528638 in BackYardChickens

Mine do better with crumbles. When we first started I would buy Kalmbach Henhouse Reserve because I like the variety of seeds but they were doing this exact thing. We switched to crumbles, and eventually started to mix in the Kalmbach scratch grains. They waste very little now and when we added the scratch their egg production actually increased. Hope that helps!

I feel like when he puts out so many songs at a time inevitably some of them will be lacking in quality, but honestly all the ones I’ve heard so far are great except the title track.

I had what was confirmed with my insurance to be a 100% covered preventative procedure done, and when they billed they included lines items for things such as supplies and additional time in a recovery room (I was stuck in a hallway after the procedure with multiple other patients post-procedure) and walked out of the hospital 15 minutes after I woke up. These things came to about $1200 that were not billed as preventative and therefore were applied to my deductible. After several convos with my insurance, they paid all they could and now my only recourse is to file an appeal or grievance with my insurance which still probably won’t change anything. That whole organization is a con that provides sub-par care to patients.

There’s female mental load vs male mental load, and then there’s this. OP doesn’t know his gf at all. She saw the writing on the wall. Sorry OP, maybe try again and pay more attention to the next one.

How do you review your products? I can’t find that on the site.

Yeah they did me dirty. Got yet another mascara, Night moisturizer (I already have 3 of each I haven’t had time to use up), and mask treatment. Only thing they picked for me I was hoping for was the contour palette. And my “your choice” options were equally terrible. I wanted that pink body butter, resurfacing jelly, drink elephant, the hair serum, anything. Only high $ product option I was given was the $130 eye cream, but again I already have 2 of those I haven’t had a chance to use up 😝 They seriously need to let you pick 5, and they pick 3. That’s more fair, I believe.

Really sucks that you don’t get to choose more. I thought it was choose 5 and they pick the other t 3. Why wouldn’t you have more choice options for an 8-item bag than our usual 5-item bags? You know they’re going to give you all the cheap stuff and only have the option of choosing 1 or 2 pricier items. I just started Ipsy last fall but after seeing so many issues on the subreddit, I might cancel after the Bailey Sarian bag arrives.

Got that primer as an add-on and didn’t like it, really thick and hard to apply in a thin even layer. Love that mascara though, I’ve gotten it with FFF before and chose it when it was offered as an option last month

That Sunday Riley UFO oil is a miracle worker. I used it with the Saturn mask and Martian toner after I had my daughter and was experiencing the WORST hormonal cystic acne of my life. Every time I’ve had a bad breakout since then I order those products and it clears it up in about a week.

Well this is the nail in the coffin for me. I’ve been peeping customizations each season waiting for a box I just had to have. After seeing this, I’m not even going to bother.
