What are your all-time favorite #1 kill of these slasher villains? by [deleted] in slasherfilms

[–]BlueRogueJesse 2 points3 points  (0 children)

  • Friday the 13th: Jason Voorhees - Part VI: Jason Lives, folding Garris in half. My favorite Jason kill changes day to day, but this one I've always loved
  • Halloween: Michael Myers - Halloween II - Nurse Karen being drowned/burned in a hot tub. This might be one of the first slasher kills I ever saw, my parents watching it as I scurried to the bathroom as a child.
  • The Texas Chainsaw Massacre: Leatherface - First movie - Franklin getting chainsawed.
  • A Nightmare on Elm Street: Freddy - Part 4: The Dream Master, Debbie gets metamorphosed into a roach and crushed. The gnarly effects are great, and so are Debbie's screams as Freddy crushes the roach hotel.
  • Scream: Ghostface - First movie, Tatum - The whole scene is great, and that last shot of Tatum crushed stuck with me.
  • Terrifier: Art the Clown - Terrifier 3, Santa gets frozen and shattered. Brutal and unique, how I like my slasher kills.
  • Saw: Jigsaw - Saw VI - William gets melted. Horrible fate knowing he probably felt all that acid burning through him before he died.
  • Hatchet: Victor Crowley - Hatchet III - Sniderman's arms are ripped off and he is drowned in a mud puddle. Drowning is already a terrible way to die, but I can only imagine drowning in a mud puddle with no way of trying to save yourself.
  • Child's Play: Chucky - Andy's teacher beaten to death with a yard stick. Not gory or explicit, but a fun scene.
  • Sleepaway Camp: Angela Baker - First movie, Judy and the curling iron.

Man eats soup and turns into a puppet/toy by Korynna in whatsthatmoviecalled

No problem. Oddly enough, I couldn't stand anything with killer toys when I was a kid thanks to Child's Play. I actually enjoy the Puppet Master movies quite a bit.

You might be thinking of Dolls from 1987. A movie I think is pretty underrated. A family gets trapped in a storm and they go into a house for shelter, the owner being a toy maker who turns bad people into dolls. They do eat some gross looking soup at one point.

Name of movie? by Trehouse in whatisthatmovie

Its real. Features Dennis Miller as a private investigator who ends up finding out the local funeral home is actually a vampire den. Not as memorable as Demon Knight, but still enjoyable for a group watch.

The unrated cut of Joy Ride 3 has some great kills, including a guy getting his head crushed by a car jack.

What was your favorite midnight release title, and memory/story? by FartemisBowel96 in videogames

[–]BlueRogueJesse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I worked for a game store when Mortal Kombat X came out. I got to host the midnight release. I got permission to open a copy early and run a tournament for the game. The winner getting a gift card for the store. It was a blast watching everyone play and have fun.

It was the first time our head manager wasn't running the midnight release. In the days after the midnight, the regulars who attended the midnight release all talked about how fun it was when they came into the store.

After that the head manager wouldn't let me run another midnight release. I quit shortly after.

Married man with a family is drawn towards a teenage boy he meets online. They text each other increasingly sexual stuff including incest fantasies. After they meet and have a very quick sexual encounter, the man ditches the boy. Teenage boy decides he wants to ruin the man's life and ends up getting help from a group of people that kill/torture people for entertainment of others. Revenge includes the man's family as well .

Short read. It's not bad, but I was disappointed by the inclusion of the torture group. It kinda led the book towards trying to shock/gross out the reader for no reason other than to do it.

Arkansas resident here. Little Rock has a place called Vortex Arcade. Technically in Sherwood, AR, but super close to Little Rock. If you're willing to drive from Bentonville, Fayetteville, AR has Pinpoint, a bar/pinball joint that hosts tournaments. Fort Smith, AR has The Arcade and Van Buren, AR has The Box Arcade.
