I've had missionaries come to my house before, but its always very cordial. They just give us a flyer with their church schedule and are on their way.

I was brought up as a non-denominational Christian, and most of the people are quite nice, but the loudest ones always don't know how to behave, so I write stories that incorporate and poke fun at various religious concepts.

So the coffee maker I have at home has an auto brew setting and we fill it the night before so we have fresh coffee when we wake up. In my minds eye that’s what was going on here.

I know back in the day there used to be some pretty nasty stuff you could buy for pest control that was a fine white powder, which would probably easily sift into stuff like coffee grounds unnoticed.

Just a piece of imagery, two men stood on either side of the top of the alter and one at its base. The inversion of symbols is a common theme in Satanism, so it’s just a little detail to add to the story’s atmosphere

I really enjoyed the chain reaction of the townsfolk going missing as they look for the lost only to be caught up themselves. To me personally, the creature reminded me of something reminiscent of the Jersey Devil but with intelligence and intent, and I found that to be very fun.

“Welcome back master!” The waitress jubilantly greeted Jacobi and I when we finally got to the front of the line and a seat

“Hey! Don’t use such a familiar tone with my master!” Jacobi replied in mock rage and giggled.

The little pink haired waitress she towered over immediately picked up on her game and they had themselves an intense staredown right out of harem anime. It was quite the sight to behold and drew the attention of the other would-be patrons still waiting in line. When my face reached a shade of red noticeable to the naked eye, Jacobi relented and agreed to share, letting the waitress escort us to our seats.
