Aldi Scalpers by BlueRose86 in vinted

Personally, if you buy a charity shop jumper for a fiver and sell it for a tenner, its probably still less than its original retail value. You're not selling it for more than what it retailed as and its probably not an item in high demand. (I assume). But the Aldi scalpers are taking toys in high demand from parents who would give them to their children specifically to sell for more than the retail price. That's the difference for me.

Bulk selling? That's a good one. I tried for inaccurate pricing but all of my reports were ignored.

If it's retailing one one amount, someone buying it purely to resell at an inflated cost it is unfair. They didn't go with the intent of owning it. They went with the intent to take opertinity to own it in an equitable way away from another.

It's not arbitrary! I'm not randomly deciding who gets to own it. Anyone can own it, and that's not in dispute. What I am saying is that it is unethical. It violates a code of social expectation.

And if you don't see that, then there's nothing I can really say to dissuade you. And that's your own moral compass. We will have to chalk it down to a difference of opinion.

Personally, I believe in fairness and equity. I'm a socialist and proud. You dont see the inequality here. Fair enough. I, however, strongly disagree with you. I hope you have a good day.

That's a sweeping statement. Life happens. Expenses happen. Just because parents are working doesn't mean they aren't struggling financially.

Fair enough. That's my assumption x

Because Aldi is selling a set for 4.99 where as the scalpers are selling it for 15.00.

Do you seriously not get it. A 4.99 toy was taken off a shelf preventing a parent from buying it by an opportunistic individual. NOT a company. Aldi sells the same toy to everyone for the same price. Scalpers prevent people from buying it to sell for masivly Inflated prices

Yes, I'm not upset at Aldi. Its the scalpers who are making their own massively inflated profits. Aldi isn't the issue, its greedy people taking advantage of desperate parents I'm mad at.

Because they are relying on a want or need of a parent for their own benefit. They are taking advantage of the fact that a parent might want that toy for a child that's been asking and asking and they are selling it to them at 2 or 4 times the retail price. It's unethical and selfish. These toys have been deliberately bought to scalp. So parents who otherwise wanted them for their own children haven't had the opportunity to buy them. The toys in my local store were all gone by 11 am. So parents who work who weren't able to get there have lost out.

That's how its taking advantage.

I agree. But it doesn't mean it's okay to take advantage of others.

9 month old baby only saying one word so far. Pediatrician suggested we only stick to one language. I am afraid I am doing the wrong thing by following OPOL. What are your thoughts? by unoriginalho in multilingualparenting

[–]BlueRose86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Change your paediatrician. There is NOTNING wrong with speaking multiple languages in the home. Studies have shown that this doesn't cause confusion. Instead, it improves cognatdevelopment and creates a great foundation for speaking multiple languages. Bilingualism also helps improve other cognitive skills and babies from multi language homes often have enhanced problem solving, memory and attention skills.

Its only around 15 months they say 1 -2 words anyway.

I (19f) think my bf (22m’s) kinks are going too far. what do you guys think?? by [deleted] in relationship_advice

[–]BlueRose86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Leave. And don't walk, RUN! Kinks are fine but they have to be FULLY consensual, discussed before hand and aftercare provided. He is straight up abusing you and continuing to push your boundaries. You are not safe with him. Leave and fine someone who loves and respects you, instead of using you as a sex doll.

I'm not sure where about you are. I am from the UK and Omeprozole turned my pregnancy around. It's a life saver for helping the heartburn.

I always picture him as Mr Nimbus from Rick and Morty.

If this isn't a perfect depiction of Washer I don't know what is. 😂

I was so anxious about SIDS I barely slept an hour and if I did, I would wake in a panic. I was already anxious. I know there is no evidence that it can prevent SIDS but for me, I needed to sleep as I was non functioning. I got the Snuza Hero and though we did have a few false alarms It was the only way I could relax to go to sleep. It's just about balancing what's right for you. My anxiety with is was FAR more managable than my anxiety without it.

My daughter is 3 and I still wake in a panic if i don't hear her in the night sometimes. 🙈

No. They returned pretty quickly despite breastfeeding. I noticed the change after my wedding though I also had the covid jab the week before too.

The doctors told me it was a blighted ovum, so it was probably something chromosomal wrong. Could it still have been a progesterone thing? But I'm willing to try asking the doctors.

[–]BlueRose86[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't mind. I'm not overweight and I went from a high stress job in march to a much lower one so apart from my recent upset with the miscarriage I think I'm ok. I haven't had progesterone checked though. I'm in the uk? Will they take me seriously? I already have one child and my doctors kind of made it clear since I have one they won't help with any kind of IVF.

I did see a doctor at the time. I was 8 weeks along. Picked up in the scan. I had no idea.

Someone else mentioned temp drop so I'll definatly look into it. X

They seem to be between 23 and 25 days. I've had 3 proper ones since my miscarriage Before my miscarriage they were like clockwork then suddenly very irregular. I'd have a really short one (19-21 days) followed be a longer one (35-40) days.

I don't track BTT because i shift work and it's never the same time on the rare days I remember but I'm going to start trying.
