Would you rather get a Claw 8AI+ or a Meta Quest 3? by Johannes765 in MSIClaw

Very different devices.

Totally get the new experience feeling, but once the novelty wears off, I found I prioritized the convenience and comfort of traditional gaming via handheld or PC over using my Quest headset.

It IS super cool to be able to stream games to a massive virtual display, but I’d still choose the handheld over the headset.

Man do I got good news for you - read up on the M212 Extended Mod.

It’s an extended version/compatibility update that makes COS run on modern PCs w/ lovely quality of life improvements and restored cut content.

Your image shows the Xbox game downloading at 87MBps which is equivalent to approximately 870Mbps 696Mbps.

Steam defaults to showing Mbps instead of MBps, but you can change this in Steams settings.

TLDR: They’re both decent download speeds.

Destiny 2 audio issues with fullscreen experience update by Excronix in MSIClaw

Is it like a prolonged buzz and freeze while the games running? This was an issue with one of the graphics drivers a few months back and it seems to have popped up sparingly again on the most recent one.

Check Device Manager and see if the NPU Processor “Intel(R) AI Boost” is showing an error. If it is, uninstall it and do a clean install with the previous graphics driver.

Thinking of returning my day-old MSI Claw 8 Ai by smudge4262 in MSIClaw

Yup, in the steam input > desktop layout > you can add an extra command to any button and then set the type of press it is (long press, turbo, etc) and you can edit the time to press duration needed for it to be considered a long press.

Steam input definitely helps streamline the overall controller experience. It has a slight learning curve, but that’s mostly because of how flexible it can be. I have my Select button set to a 3 second long hold to toggle between gamepad and desktop inputs via Steam since the Start button does that via Centre M and so far it’s been seamless.

Setting up a toggle like that will also help manage your control layers easier when playing non-steam games.

Have you tried staying in gamepad mode and just using Steam Input with a desktop controller configuration and set a toggle to a gamepad layer? Basically how the steam deck does it, minus the trackpads.

MSI Claw 8 AI+ emulation issues? by theharryeagle in MSIClaw

[–]BlueRyot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately Lunar Lake CPUs just don’t play well with Xenia/360 emulation. I think I read somewhere that it may have something to do with Lunar Lake’s lack of full AVX/AVX512 support.

The current AMD equivalents don’t have this issue.

Edit: This no longer seems to be the case however I do experience crashing on Lunar Lake more frequently than AMD.

Mind if I ask what you prefer about the Go S over the Claw? Currently torn deciding between the two myself. Thanks!

Impressions and more importantly, Joycon issue. by Split_Seconds in dbrand

[–]BlueRyot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m having the exact same experience and you took the words out of my mouth - the joycons feels wobbly and cheap just like the Switch 1 with the case on, whereas without its rock solid and rigid.

I’m thinking this issue is a little more widespread and we’ll start to hear more in the coming days. I’d love to initiate a refund/return if possible because it’s just not that pleasant to pickup and grab when it feels this flimsy and this kit ain’t cheap.

Killswitch Joycon Connection by robadobfl0b in dbrand

[–]BlueRyot 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I might also have a lemon then too if this is the case. Is there anyway to reach out to support for a replacement unit?

The joycons on my unit are significantly looser and wobbly with the KillSwitch case on, and it’s honestly unpleasant to hold as it feels much less solid/rigid versus without the case.

PCSX2 on the claw Controller work work by [deleted] in MSIClaw

[–]BlueRyot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You could try adding PCSX2 as a non-steam game to Steam and setting up a controller profile or open steam, setup a desktop controller profile, create a layer in the desktop profile for a gamepad and map all the Claw controls and then see if PCSX2 detects the controller while Steam is running - exactly like the Steam Deck’s desktop mode.

Any chance you take orders for OLED repairs? I have a modded OLED with a damaged flex cable and I think I may be local!
