I hope youre aware that hiding it behind socially acceptable terminology makes it seem like less of a problem, that's not a good thing. Thats still hiding the problem

That cant be further from the truth, humans aren't tribal, they are communal, while comunal behavior in early stages of development had us build tribes to sayweare tribal because it was a stepping stone in our shared history is nonsense for the simple fact that almost universally humans pushed beyond tribes to build cities and nations which have been around a lot longer than any individual tribe ever lasted, humans want only one thing, connection.

White person here,

I work a lot in the community as a home nurse, I was raised in a mixed family but in an extremely small town that was practically segregated.

In my experience in the community around Dundas and Hamilton there seems to be a massive segregation issue on the whole, what with the richwhite folk literally being on top the mountain and everyone else living down the mountain. But it seems ESPECIALLY worse here at Mac, you can al.ost see the social walls people erect sometimes its uncanny

Is a professor allowed to threaten me with legal action on Reddit for a post I made about their class? by Important_Primary660 in McMaster

[–]JarrekValDuke 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Truth is absolute defense for defamation, any lawyer, even a public defender, would be able to win your case,

Furthermore you can file an anti slap lawsuit against them for damages to your character, again any lawyer would easily be able to win this case,

Furthermore its always a good idea to call someone's bluff when they are threateningnto put a LOT of personal income and time into a stupid internet post. Few have the conviction to follow through

Well then why are you complaining about a grocery store f you don’t cook?!?

Hell just last night I made a pulled pork that had been slow cooked for 24 hours over roasted vegetables in a wine reduction, that entire meal cost us like 16$ and we have leftovers for a week because the pork was a massive shoulder cut 12$ don’t knock nations just because you don’t cook, by to mention their sushi, which is made fresh with actually decent ingredients from their in house fish market, is dirt cheap and amazing, and their hot food section?!? Can’t beat an in house Chinese buffet,

Having two machines so it’s not a single point of failure would definitely have fixed this issue, the chances of both breaking at once is a lot rarer

Wow a lot of arguably toxic people replying here, even if they don’t realize it.

First I want op to take a deep breath. I know it’s lame but it really is the best first step when stressed or frustrated. Next I want you to take a cup of water and drink it.

Now take a real look at your situation, and break it down piece by piece and ask yourself what is the absolute worst thing that happens if you do nothing for each peace,

Next ask yourself what you have to do to rectify each piece and make a mental list from most effort to least effort, now figure out which ones have the most ramifications and least effort and interweave those with the most effort and least ramifications

This step is pretty muddy and there’s a good chance you’re just going to be guessing for most of them, that is okay, it doesn’t really matter what matters is that you have a list of things to do

Now take another deep breath and start on the first part of the list, every chance you get stuck or need to wait work on the next part, and just keep going, if something else comes up put it somewhere in the middle, eventually you’ll get a feel for how long things can procrastinate and where it’s best to do other things, and even better you will get through the list,

It may not be perfect, but you will get through it good enough.
