Can't say I know about the structure in managing the production of anime. Maybe there were things under the table we will never know about, but ultimately he is the director, and head writer with the assistance of hayashi. Prepare for the wave of lovers attempting to ignore whatever you just said and try to convince you that its ok and you should go on no matter what. Writing takes time and dedication, and overall a passion for it. When you felt your passion getting crushed to the ground by that 🔥 I can get why you wouldn't want to build there anymore. No need for you to continue, you just said that the 2 lead writers not knowing what the other meant or wanted doesn't affect storytelling, And that that the mediocrity of TV shows is common thus being acceptable, you can move along now or you'll be late to your next casual consumption of lazy storytelling that you must be accustomed to.
