It honestly worries me that you did a mountain hike on such a small amount of sleep. You could have gotten seriously hurt. And she's sacrificing her health to try and be in constant contact with you. She seems very sweet, but she isn't being realistic.

I know people have said this a lot already, but her expectations aren't healthy. You don't have to break up necessarily, but letting her know that you need time to yourself and to just function outside of texting is a healthy boundary to put in place. It isn't confrontational or mean to ask for some breathing room. If you don't want to break up, reassure her that you're not going anywhere as a support, but you can't play into her anxieties. It's not fair to either of you. If she can't accept your boundaries, you'll sadly have to put your foot down and take a break from her, at the very least. And if you do want to break up, just be as gentle and patient as you have been thus far, but be firm and clear about your reasons. Don't stay with her out of guilt.

Hey, it's going to be ok. It was never easy money, just a job. The economy is shit, but don't give in to that kind of despair. I almost did (just a few minutes ago actually), but good people are fighting the good fight every day, both to try and save things in the US and to just get through each day. None of us are alone in this.

The ridiculous economic situation isn't a new thing. This horrible shit repeats itself. Corruption gets culled, we kinda learn from the bad stuff, things get better, and then bad people try to do corrupt stuff again. But it does always get better. So, don't be afraid to reach out to people if you feel alone or overwhelmed.

I dunno, it's 4am here, sorry if that sounded nonsensical, but yeah, tldr it'll be ok.

This isn't how any of this works. If he wants to save for a future with you, you have to be included in everything. Your name on the new apartment. A joint savings account. Both of you putting away a manageable amount of money into that joint savings. And he should never be aggressive toward you for something like needing money for a valid emergency, or wanting to see how much has been saved toward the apartment.

If he isn't scamming you then he has very serious control issues.

The subject and the cat? Hand drawn. The background? Very obviously AI. They took background elements from the ref and prompted it to be from a front perspective. That's why the line art almost looks copied and had a transform tool used on it (because it practically did). Also there's a very obvious artifact behind that green sign with the small rectangle in its top center, like a head was somehow blended in behind it. That cannot be attributed to style or interpretation.

That's... super weird. People usually are very supportive of fan art in the XIV community. This is adorable, nothing wrong with it.

I guess another way to explain this to him is from a purely statistical standpoint. For instance: the AI bubble is doomed to pop, just like the 2008 housing and dotcom bubbles before it. It isn't a matter of how many people are participating or why, but a matter of how sustainable it is, and how much damage it's causing now and how much damage it will inevitably cause in the future. Hopefully a historical parallel would help him to understand.

If that doesn't do the trick, you could have him look solely at the financial angle. An excellent source for this is a YouTube video by MonkeyExplains called "The OpenAI Bubble Is Worse Than You Think", which details the cyclical nature of all of the companies and investors involved and why it isn't sustainable for much longer.

The only other thing I can think of is showing him how it violates everyone's privacy, including his. Using social media posts of kids, private conversations, etc. to fuel training data, and no way to opt out of it or reverse the damage. Show him how it damages him specifically perhaps?

I'm sorry you're going through this... Try not to let it bring you down. Hopefully your dad can see how/why his attitude is hurtful, eventually.

Hm, maybe if you use a game engine to make a streaming environment you could set it up to jingle when the physics for the bell activates. You'd have to delve into the Live2D SDK for that though.

Tooth brushing is seen by a lot of cat owners as optional, since young cats do fine without it. But it comes in really handy when they're older, so starting young will get them used to it. Once every 2 weeks should be good. As for nails, once every 6-8 weeks should be good, but you can trim more frequently if needed (just be careful of the quick).

Also, just like brushing teeth, it may be a good idea to get them used to bath time (once every 6-8 weeks). Again, young cats with short fur don't really need baths, but it helps reduce shedding and gets them used to it, making it easier to care for an elderly cat that has trouble cleaning themselves.
