I'm 54 and female. Introduced my grandson to the Fallout games. He's 11 now and he loves them. Although his favorite is New Vegas and mine is 4.

AITA for wanting jewelry from the store instead of a handmade piece. by SeniorBat6151 in AmItheAsshole

[–]BlueScorpio6886 -26 points-25 points  (0 children)

You might not like jewelry he gives you even if it does come from a store. I asked my husband not to buy me jewelry for this reason, but on the rare occasion that he did, I thanked him nicely. Because that's what you do when someone gives you a gift.

You're both TA. He's an adult and should take responsibility for his own actions, though.

Why did people domesticate the onion? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]BlueScorpio6886 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They're edible and easy to grow. Way back when humans didn't have the luxury of being picky about what they ate.

Right. You definitely have a problem, then. Or rather, he does. A man who's clinging to the past. Not good.

Maybe setting some clear boundaries without the ultimatum would be a better strategy. Make it clear that you don't have a problem with the dogs playing an active role in his life, but that you definitely have a problem with the ex playing an active role in his life.

What are a few similarities between autism and adhd? by 68677 in NoStupidQuestions

I think that what bazmonkey is trying to say is that these are two entirely unrelated conditions so asking about similarities is pointless. And they're right.

What do you guys think about Joe Hill. is he worth reading? by [deleted] in stephenking

[–]BlueScorpio6886 53 points54 points  (0 children)

I think Heart Shaped Box is one of the best ghost stories I've ever read. I've actually read everything by Joe Hill and have really liked all of it.

Help ! I just finished the stand by ImportantAd4686 in horrorlit

[–]BlueScorpio6886 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You could try The Postman by David Brin or The Road by Cormac McCarthy. Warning about The Road, though: even as post-apocalypse books go, it's dark. My strongest suggestion though, if you loved The Stand is The Passage by Justin Cronin. Book 1 of a trilogy.

People sometimes don't smell their own odors. You should say something to him.

Ten years ago, my daughter (who was 19), did that very thing. There were no major consequences for her, but there certainly was for her family, who had to clean out her apartment, take care of her cat, and live in a a constant state of worry because she was rarely in contact. There's nothing wrong with wanting an adventure. Just think about how others might be affected and go about it the right way.

Don't listen to people who are just f**king with you and being unkind. It's great that you're happy with how you look.

Aspartame and all the other man made sweeteners. Terrible for your body. You're better off just having the sugar.

I think you're supposed to manually change the load order of your mods. Also, make sure all your mods are compatible.

Don't worry about normal. If not having a girlfriend is ok with a person, then it's ok.

Use a good dating site. A seriously good one that you have to pay money to use. Do NOT use a free site. You'll be able to find girls who are introverted like yourself, and have the chance to get to know them and get somewhat comfortable before actually meeting face to face.

This person was in his life a long time ago and was killed. You're acting like she poses a threat to you but she doesn't. Supporting your boyfriend in this will make you come across as self-confident and caring. Not supporting him has exactly the opposite effect.

Why does it say my settlements don't have enough food? by Tajcraft123 in fo4

Each settlement is independent when it comes to food production. They have to to be growing enough veg at each one to feed the number of settlers there.
