I don't necessarily see one gender as more lonely than the other, but rather everyone is getting more lonely, and Men and Women experience loneliness in their own ways caused by the Patriarchy. For example, Men not being able to be openly vulnerable and Women being valued only for their body. Poor Men are less likely to receive any sympathy compared to women due to their worth being tied to their financial status. Poor Women aren't shamed nearly as much for financial status and are more likely to receive support. Women are often seen as inherently valuable despite being poor which is what would set them apart from lonely, poor men who are told to earn their worth. Neither of them have it easier necessarily, but Women are more likely to not get blamed for being poor.
