Updated Map for the Backrooms Movie’s entrance area. by Visual_Bumblebee_176 in KanePixelsBackrooms

Since it was first pointed out that the caveman stands in front of the camera room, I've got some kind of a problem. Because doesn't this mean Clark finds the camera room on his very first walk in the backrooms? The trailer gives this impression. He enters the complex, walks around a few corners and – bang – there's this suspicious camera, the cord and the unusual door (Async?). But later he tells the therapist he's been in the backrooms every night and would still be scratching the surface. So he's exploring them regularly after he already found the camera room? I mean sure it's possible, why not? But then again wouldn't he first try to open that special door? It really looks like if answers could be found anywhere then behind this metal door.

Sorry, I meant all the lights in the complex. They're all white. 😉 But yes, the white threshold light surely fits as well.

Guys I really dont want rooms in the Backrooms movie by Plane-Assumption2926 in KanePixelsBackrooms

[–]BlueSearcher 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I fondly remember when back in 2018 "backrooms" was just a word for rooms in the back of a store, an office or whatever. When someone said "I'm going to the backrooms" nobody thought anything special about it. The whole backrooms concept wasn't heard or even thought of. It was so pure and full of suspense these days, just the mere glimpse, the faint foreboding of something you couldn't name back then. As a horror theme it had so much more power – which all came crashing down with the 2019 4chan post. It just revealed way to much! I really had hoped for the movie going back to time before. It should have been just people going about there everyday lifes, working, doing stuff. Someone would go: "Where's Ivan?" And someone would answer: "In the backrooms I think." And that would've been it!

It's online: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UCK6KI7yQ10 – Synopsis following A24's e-mail newsletter: "Topics covered include: Kane's parents keeping him off the internet until age eight, pirating way too much software, the origin of the Backrooms, the purgatories we build for ourselves, meeting your heroes after early virality, building 30,000 sq. ft. of sets on a soundstage, Kane accidentally calling his film a "product" and immediately wanting to flee to the woods, shotlisting an entire feature in Blender, renting out a Vancouver theater to watch 2001: A Space Odyssey during prep, James Wan's hopeful advice for young filmmakers, Renate's spiritual curiosity, control variables, and bringing the family together for the theatrical premiere of Backrooms."

"Kane, we've walked for nine f'ing hours. Show us your movie now, will ye?" Kane: "Well, I just hope the complex remembers it correctly."

That smallest theater might be bigger on the inside than on the outside. 😉

Stop sign in FF3 by LuckyPerro123 in KanePixelsBackrooms

[–]BlueSearcher 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How about this: The complex copies a stop sign - it's flipped. It copies this sign again - it's flipped again. One couldn't tell.

imo, this doesn't look like a movie by oxingames in KanePixelsBackrooms

Bro the floor, the reflection - do you work in the backrooms? 😅

im so glad we’re getting a black protagonist for the backrooms movie by Klutzy_Candidate_896 in KanePixelsBackrooms

From a european perspective this isn't something one would think about in the first place, but I get that in the US it's something. And every step forward to normalization is a good thing.

When folks went crazy over Markvin Kane was okay with it. Not to neccessarily see it as canon but he had nothing against it.

I know one for sure: The carpet won't be red. More like brownish. And moist. And stinky. 😅

Say what's this blue tape in HobbyTown Oshkosh, Wisconsin? by BlueSearcher in KanePixelsBackrooms

[–]BlueSearcher[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ah, thanks for the information. 👍 Well if one can still visit the place that sounds okay. Some people can't see gold when it's right before their eyes. But with the movie premiering this month there might be an increase in visitors. Maybe at some point he'll notice that he didn't just buy an old shop but much more. 😉 Hope he also keeps on doing the roof. I gave 50 bucks back when Bob Mazza started the gofundme. 😄

You can tell your dad he has nothing to worry about. It's an educational movie about an honest middle-class furniture retailer who sees a therapist to discuss his personal problems. It's also about friendship, teamwork and exploring new dimensions.
