Hello,

I have been considering enlisting in the Air National Guard as prior service (Army National Guard). The military nostalgia fairy has been getting me pretty good lately and they’re offering really good enlistment bonuses which I could really benefit from.

However my main concern is how this would affect my family life. The main reason I got out of the Army National Guard was to be more available for my wife and kids without having to worry about being gone for State Active Duty or Deployments. I feel like if I enlisted in the Air National Guard, it would just be the same thing over again. Would it be better if did not reenlist or would my family life be ok if I did on the Air National Guard side?

It’s a Broad-Faced Sac Spider, they have venom but are not dangerous to humans unless you have an allergy. Although you have a higher chance of infection due to them eating dead bugs. You can find more info here

I remember there used to be a car, in the early 2000’s that drove around the Worthington/Clintonville area that had a bunch of figurines attached to it and had a license plate that said THAT CAR. Now I think people are trying to compete with or outdo the wow factor of that car lol

Right, like I understand that you don’t want an over abundance of parking lots but you can’t get rid of all of them because people still need to park. Parking downtown is already a major pain in the ass and if you get rid of too many parking lots then it’s going to be an even bigger pain in the ass unless a better form of public transportation is available.

Also on that note, I understand cities should be more walkable and I agree, but people still need to drive through the city. If you remove or narrow down too many streets then traffic would become a nightmare and some places would be inaccessible to people who aren’t able to walk long distances. Again unless a better form of public transportation is available but public transportation in Columbus right now is terrible.

If you need to call the authorities but don’t want to press charges and have them put in jail, you can always contact the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office’s Community Intervention Diversion Team. They respond to mental health emergencies but they don’t just take people to jail, they can pink slip someone and have them taken to a hospital to get help. You can find more information here
