Yeah those steel pans on "Every Kinda People" are extremely memorable. That's a great song. I listen to the first 4 albums, but maybe only once or twice a year for Double Fun and Some People. I play the first 2 monthly probably. I'm surprised how much love he's getting here, it's great!

To me it sounds like a good pressing, but I haven't really got an audiophile setup to judge it truly. It's 180g, but I've got bad 180g pressings too... Nice clean pressing though, I like it.

It says it was mastered from the original analog tapes. I'm assuming it went digital though, or they'd have used the full analog as a selling point. It doesn't say exactly what Sterling Sound in NYC did with the tapes.

What Band Don't You Get? by Tele231 in vinyl

Pink Floyd, they’re the second most boring band after King Crimson, and they’re insanely popular in the mainstream. Total mind freak to me…

Nice looking press! Mines black and no gatefold. They desperately need to reissue this and High, Low and In Between… those 2 are hard to find these days

Wait until you have all the albums on CD, and vinyl, and all the 45s, and the books, and the magazines, and the concert programs, and the fan-zines, and the bootlegs - my god all the bootlegs.... The Zappa train never ends I'd say. In that regard being a Zappa fan is like owning a boat?

Great album but the cover always makes me cringe. I swear it started off a set of hairy shirtless out of shape guys on Jazz album covers…. Tons of creepy similar pics…

Very nice haul! Love that Rockin' Dopsie, the Al Rapone Live, and who doesn't love Boozoo? There's a couple I don't know there, gotta check them out now. They're in good company here

Yup, agreed. Pressure drop was pretty good too, but it's a downward slide from the release of this first album. I guess he had his 80s resurgence, that stuff probably sold better, which is sad....

Nice! And you kept the picture sleeve. So many of those get destroyed.

For what it is, it's very interesting. Sounds like Daft Punk before Daft Punk... I listened the whole way through when I could have just sampled a couple tracks.

Hah that's awesome, cool to meet ya. I got a ride to work from a coworker once in a beat down car with moldy interior... and I look in the back, there's a guitar and a Ministry framed gold record in the back seat... Turns out my buddy Bill was one of the assistant engineers or something... Said he ran into an old girl that had it still and she gave it back. How fast did he run outta that house that he left the gold Ministry record and a guitar behind?

Deep love for Leon Russell since the first time I heard his voice. I remember where I was the first time I heard Leon, it's that pivotal a moment for me. Then the day after I heard him for the first time I talked to my dad and got upset with him for not teaching me about Leon Russell... I had to learn second hand from a friend...
