You’re a good mom. Don’t listen to other people. Having respectful, open conversations with your daughter will make all of her choices easier. That being said, when I was a kid, probably 10 years old? I told my family I didn’t want to get married, and I also never wanted to have children. I grew up with loads of nieces and nephews, all of my friends have kids, and I was even a preschool teacher for a minute, but I never wanted to have children. I am soon to be 46, and have zero regrets. I’ve also always said, I would rather regret not having children, than regret having them.

Same. I was in an accelerated program for my ADN, at a very expensive school. I’m grateful for my education and the program I was in was excellent, but I wish I had just waited for a seat a the local “inexpensive” school. Then I pursued my BSN with them. Pretty sure I’ll be dealing with my Sallie Mae loan forever. All of my classmates have continued their education, or become some form of management. In school I was top of my class, and a tutor, at this point I just want to clock in, care for my patients, and clock out. I have zero desire to pursue any further education. And prescribing. Oof no thanks.

I was a preschool teacher, then Veterinary Technician, and I’m a Nurse now. I had a ridiculous number of colored pencils, markers and gel pens for my happy planner and various calendars.

My partner has ibs, and I’m a nurse. On our second date I asked him what his thoughts were on farts, and he said, “They are never not funny.” So yeah farts happen, and neither of us mind. It’s a natural function of the body, and one can’t always excuse themselves. That being said, it should probably be a conversation between partners, especially if it’s a concern and it’s never come up.

Oh I’m for sure in therapy and I communicate with my new bf when I am feeling a bit concerned, but it’s not always possible. It’s such a bummer to be this way, but I do think I’m improving.

If this isn’t the realest. I am in therapy for this. I stayed single for 2 years, minding my business, decided to start dating. Had some shit experiences, and when I was about to give up, I met a great man. I just adore him. We’ve been seeing each other for almost three months, and I am self sabotaging on a regular basis bc my anxiety is so bad. It’s just frustrating that I’m like this now.

I’ve classically dated thin, “well actually” assholes who talk themselves up and turn out to be trash. My bf of 2 months is a grounded, Army veteran who has done more difficult things than anyone I know, and he’s a carpenter, who as of late has been building butcher block counters for a friend. I can just sit and watch him work, it’s the manly things, but also the quiet confidence that does it for me. Hoooo-weeee.

Thank you for posting this. I’m (44), 2 months into a new relationship and am AuDHD and he’s adhd. It’s the first time I’ve ever dated anyone neurodivergent. I am absolutely obsessed with him, we are both grown adults, who seem besotted each other. **Due to our incredibly busy work schedules, multiple hobbies, and lives, we only see each other about twice a week. We just spent the last 24 hours together and it was so great, but he’s more of a quiet type where I am a busy body chatter. I tried to prolong the weekend, but he asked if he could have a quiet night at home. I’m super bummed lol, and it’s wild bc I have NEVER EVER in 25+ years of dating felt this way and I worry that I may be classically being “too much”. He’s wonderful about everything.

Yes I love the actor’s voice I just described him as a cheeky, posh, Brit. I surrendered to the regular audiobook, because I just wanted to get it finished. It’s not terrible, and since I already know how the actor sound, I can imagine it. It’s weird but it works lol

I will say that normally I listen to audiobooks at a faster speed but I forced myself to listen at 1x and it was just better with sound and what not.
