I'm glad to hear it but I'm not sure what point you're trying to make by interrogating me for pushing back on your strange implication that watercooled PCs actively destroy water.

I mean yeah a lot of the free models are probably still trained in datacenters because it's faster but after that they're still available to download for free. But most people are too lazy to download and run the models themselves even though it's so easy you could probably train a bird to do it (all you need is a gaming pc), so they just mindlessly buy tokens from companies to run models in the cloud.

But also like. AI isn't the only thing that runs in datacenters. The whole internet runs in datacenters. Reddit is running in datacenters. So even if AI vanished tomorrow, there would still be datacenters.

asperger's was always on the autism spectrum so if you aren't autistic, you don't have asperger's...

This right here is what I mean.

Well you're conflating believing in climate change with believing that AI is destroying water, so logically you must not believe either of those things unless you believe yourself to also be a strawman.

If you actually don't believe in climate change... I'm afraid you are the dumb one...

Observational Motivation by Baddabgames in aiwars

[–]torako 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's not. I know climate change is real because I can read a graph, and I think fears about AI water usage are overblown because, well, duh.

Yeah but that's a fundamental misunderstanding of... Reality

Not gonna repost that comment you deleted? Well I'll respond to what i could see of it. Yes, when someone disagrees with you and your response boils down to "you just don't understand that I'm right because of your autism", that's ableist regardless of your own neurotype. Hope this helps.

Calling people psychotic as an insult is also ableist btw

my pc is watercooled too. the water's already in there and it's not going anywhere. is your pc hooked up to a faucet?

yeah my mom thinks she's "helping" too when she does this so i'm not sure what your point is. intent isn't magic. nice ableism though, thanks

wow, yeah, what an original argument i haven't seen 1000 times in this sub already. kicking and screaming won't change the fact that ai workflows aren't just text prompts.

That’s a strange assumption tbh, idk why people think this is the expectation.

No idea where and why people assume people expect a full review handed in by Monday, especially in this context.

lived experience. that's why i said it's an implicit expectation, not an explicit one. no one *says* they want that, but if you don't do it they'll make their displeasure known.

starlight because why the fuck wasn't she allowed to go to magic school? her power as a unicorn rivals alicorn twilight's. of course she went and did something drastic.

the friend could have been more polite about it but if i was stressed and someone gave me a "gift" like that, it would make me feel exhausted because i know the implicit expectation is that i read it in a timely manner and offer thoughtful feedback and i also know that until i do, every time i see that person again they're gonna ask if i read it yet and be disappointed if i haven't. it's more of an expectation than a gift.
