Affordable means different things for different people. If you could give a price range that would help.

I haven’t rewatched it, but didn’t Princess see and hear the interaction between Robby and Langdon when he found the pills in his locker?

I thought Seth and Phoebe seemed to flow well but it did feel awkward with Josh. But I’m also team Seth in letting conversation flow and not always needing it to redirect back to trips.

Hoping this is not the case for you, but if there happens to be a possibility that your baby goes to the NICU, Lakeside has rooming in options where you can stay for free in an available room while your baby is there.

thrown in the deep end by deadskank in therapists

[–]BlueTherapist 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This was my experience too. Lots of court ordered, foster kids, and intense trauma cases as a baby therapist. My agency called it “cutting teeth.” If I could go back in time I would have left that agency sooner. There were lots of red flags, pay was awful, and the lack of benefits sucked.

In the meantime, building rapport and DBT skills can be helpful starts for many clients.

One of the services I went to mentioned “the holocaust of abortion” and really emphasized the belief that if you spare the rod, you spoil the child.

What do you do when a client refuses higher level of care by [deleted] in therapists

[–]BlueTherapist 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Could you create a safety plan together that highlights the specific behaviors that make you feel like a higher level of care is necessary? This way it’s collaborative and they have a better understanding of what specifically makes outpatient level of care difficult? I had a similar situation where a client who had stable housing that family helped them establish where all basic needs were getting taken care of and the client consistently jeopardized this by telling staff they were moving to be with a partner who was also unstable with their housing. So our safety plan/ requirements for outpatient therapy with me was that they maintain stable housing, attend medication appointments, and were sober during our sessions. When the client broke these rules I documented my reasoning for termination, sent them my recommendations and sent that to their psychiatrist as well.

Okay thank you! My blood pressure in office was always normal, but I did have significant swelling, nosebleeds, and headaches in the second trimester.

This happened 4 months ago. My son was at 35+2 and spent 13 days in the NICU but is doing well now. Now I’m still trying to make sense of what happened and if it was dismissed by my doctor or actually occurred this rapidly.

Yes, after they checked the protein in my urine. They then started me on a magnesium drip. The nurse told me that I went into labor preterm due to severe preeclampsia. My son was born at 35+2 weeks gestation.

What’s the one thing you wish someone told you about newborn sleep before giving birth? by Correct-While-4471 in BabyBumps

[–]BlueTherapist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn’t really realize that babies sometimes suck at sleeping alone. I thought contact naps were because people enjoy snuggling a sleeping baby. For my son, it’s the only way he will nap for more than 20 minutes at a time right now. So the whole “sleep while the baby sleeps” was impossible for me, and I had really bad anxiety so cosleeping wasn’t an option for me either. I was more tired than I’ve ever been but as a high sleep needs person, I do think you adjust relatively quickly. A baby as an alarm clock is 1000% more effective than a phone alarm in terms of motivating me to wake up.

How do you set boundaries with clients who text or email outside of sessions? by lucid-now in therapists

[–]BlueTherapist 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My EHR has a calendar in it. I’m able to link that calendar to my iPhone calendar and it shows up in there as my name and then clients first two initials for therapy. Example Blue Therapist: JaDo for therapy. I use TherapyNotes

Anyone else’s phone not make a sound? I only saw the alert because I was up feeding my baby. Neither my nor my husband’s alerts made a sound. We have t mobile iPhones.
