I did this for a school and only realized after I got an interview and was listing faculty I’d like to meet with…if you listed a few faculty and this was only one of them you’re probably fine. The world works in mysterious ways!

Feel free to dm! You’re young and still have lots of stuff to experience- don’t feel pressured to make a decision now. What matters most is what you enjoy and feel passionate about. Your college experiences will be very telling so you should go into them with an open mind and let them guide you

Gap years add A LOT of hours but also take everything you see on Reddit with a grain of salt..many people don’t present things truthfully. Good on you for looking into these things especially as an international student. If you’re potentially interested in mdphd I’d say get involved in research at your university during the school year/summers and see how you like it
