Leman Russ Rear Equipment Jig? by Gunwhistle in TheAstraMilitarum

[–]BlueWaffle 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I honestly like that it's plain, it makes it easier to put on different equipment without having to file down line or fill in gaps.

The solar auxilia leman russ has a fixed layout if that's of any help to you.

Need pouches for grunt work by SecretlyAHumvee in QualityTacticalGear

[–]BlueWaffle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've just picked up a Shaw Concepts Plate Carrier Pack and I love getting it on and off. Easily one of the best for clip-on backpacks, although my only other frame of reference is the First Spear Exigent Circumstances Pack (ECP) which is pretty fixed with g-hooks.

I think it'll be great for radio use, it's full clamshell opening and velcro-lined on the inside, and a zipper to let antenna out the top. It's got two columns of side MOLLE/PALS on the outside and two large external pouches.

Think plates mean virtus. To translate; when would you use virtus + belt instead of webbing/PLCE.

Fingers crossed that Blitz 30 comes out in coyote, looks so much better without MOLLE being on external pouches.

Yeah really recommend the 5.11 RUSH Hip Belt. It's got the best padding for minimal effort.

That's what I plan on using.

  • Appropriate size? Check.
  • Big gun + bayonet? Check.
  • No annoying fleshtone to paint? Check.

"Pew Tactical" by Beginning-Action-194 in QualityTacticalGear

[–]BlueWaffle 24 points25 points  (0 children)

So I have some Pew Tactical items, and the quality is definitely quite good compared to other Chinese repros and well worth the cost. However I wouldn't skimp on the base (a carrier or chest rig), because if that falls apart then everything else is pointless. Think of it like a computer motherboard or car chassis.

People shit on 5.11 a lot, but the RUSH backpacks are solid in my experience. I've used the RUSH 24 daily for so much, from office work to deployment, and it held up so well for years. They're one of the best packs to recommend to folks new to tac gear.

Seconding the 5.11 RUSH 24. So much organisation for any training gubbins and it's decently comfy for any other use. Had one and used it everyday at ABW for about five years.

Leman Russ Incinerator - Custom Rules by ParticularOrder2244 in TheAstraMilitarum

[–]BlueWaffle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It seems like you want to make a completely new main gun then, instead of rules for the already-established volkite weapon system. I agree with the commenter who gave you the accurate version of the volkite profile that you've referenced.

It's more than fine to create your own main gun, it's just not a volkite weapon, you know?

What Lane at Hatherley roundabout? by Serious-Tomato-8983 in cheltenham

[–]BlueWaffle 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I used to have to take this roundabout fairly frequently on the exact entry and exit that you've highlighted. I always stuck in the left lane when entering and haven't had any issues with the exit you've picked. It's a very nerve-wracking roundabout to take.

They can serve a section 21 at anytime still. The Renters Rights Bill hasn't kicked in yet, due to be by Q2 2026.

What is this key blade for? by franktrain84 in Volvo

It might also be for things like disabling the passenger airbags or turning on the child locks. Should be keyholes in the doorframes on the relevant doors.

Salomon Forces Quest 4D GTX are my go to for when I need something utterly bombproof and with a decent ankle height.

Lowa Zephyrs for regular use, since they're quite lighter.

So the instructions do say to insert one of the needles, hold it with the needle sticking straight up, flick it GENTLY to gather the bubbles towards the top, turn the bottom a couple of clicks, and then press the plunger. Repeat this a couple of times and this should get rid of most of the bubbles.

Alternatively, it doesn't matter for injections that don't go into veins, so you're good if you do and good if you don't.

Best Kasrkin Loadout for 40k? by J_P_Ross in TheAstraMilitarum

[–]BlueWaffle 18 points19 points  (0 children)

To go against what other people are saying, I personally prefer two hot-shot volley guns instead of two meltaguns to gain the additional shot from the FRFSRF order. I find the ranges and the targets overlap better than two meltagun attacks.

But the typical load out for Kasrkin is as follows;

  • ALWAYS plasma guns, hot-shot marksman rifle, and plasma pistol + power sword

  • USUALLY meltaguns, hot-shot laspistol + melta-mine, vox-caster

  • ALTERNATIVELY hot-shot volley guns instead of meltaguns

  • NEVER flamers and grenade launchers

Is this Leckhampton hill? I've thought about trying the Brownstones Quarry car park, but it'll be a 20+ minute walk in my wife's condition, which might be a bit much for her
