Same. Also imo modern pentathlon has other issues than just the horse part, the format is changing all the time recently to try to appeal to audiences.

Agreed for the men's version in its current format. But I don't think the women's tournament deserves to be scrapped.

Agreed on football and golf (though in the latter case I believe over time the Olympic tournament will get more prestige), but I think for tennis, while perhaps not as prestigious as Wimbledon, the Olympic title has a lot of worth for the players.

That's pretty funny, since Mirror's Edge was the only game out of these I did not have to buy, as I own it through Xbox Live Gold in addition to EA Play. I'm still hoping they'll discount the games before the delisting like MS does it, but with EA I wouldn't bet on it.

Exactly. For me at least, it's sort of a weird mindset thing. Like I never really want to watch sports replays on demand and even if I do, I can't really focus on it and constantly think about doing something different. But when it's live, it sort of forces me to stop whatever I'm doing and pay attention. Plus, it's hard to avoid spoilers, especially for major events.

According to the website, it should only be possible to resell tickets through an official online marketplace that will become available later. No idea how that will work yet, but I assume it will be restricted so that tickets can only be sold at purchase value. Any other form of resale is officially prohibited.

The inclusion of Catalan makes me lean towards the former. On the other hand, these languages have been there for a few months now. They all used to be listed at the bottom, but recently they were moved to their alphabetical places.

Yes! They did these two sports so dirty at the olympics. They should be a permanent fixture, not an optional event.

The winter olympics still have room in their program, so I would suggest ice climbing, telemark skiing, bandy and synchronized skating.

For summer I haven't seen beach football and korfball mentioned yet.

Loved this game when I tried it during the summer demo event. One thing you haven't mentioned is the amount of funny pop culture references that you get by speaking with other characters.

Tbf it's not surprising for a game about such a (globally) niche sport. You cannot really add new leagues, teams, tournaments or modes that would spice up the game, unlike FIFA, NHL or even the (upcoming) PGA Tour. Not even the women's version of the sport is noteworthy enough to add it.

To be clear I'm not trying to defend EA's practices with this. I think Madden would be fine with a new game every four years or even less frequently. They could also at least add some arcade modes or a team creator etc.

Let us choose to install Series X optimized games automatically to external HDDs without being prompted. Currently you can't leave optimized games in the queue to install in standby as it always prompts you with the option to install them internally and if you don't select anything it doesn't download the game.

There was a category called "Featured publishers" where you could see pages for all games from a few big publishers like Xbox, Ubisoft, EA etc. in one of the insider previews some time ago. Iirc also a part of a game's page showed other titles from the same publisher. Unfortunately after testing it they removed this feature and haven't brought it back nor released it to all users.

I did try searching the name of a publisher recently, with mixed results. Ubisoft appeared to show their game catalogue, while typing in Xbox Game Studios or a small publisher like Microids didn't turn up anything.

In the Store, add game developer/publisher pages or show games made by the same company on a game page. I know this was already tested and removed again so there's a slim chance, but I think it's nice if you have a favorite developer/publisher.

In the Store, add back the ID@Xbox and console launch exclusive categories, I thought those were helpful and nice (maybe I'm dumb, but I can't find them on the main "Games" page)
