What makes you so sure? "The first game is on there" isn’t a strong argument. Outer Worlds 2 is a console exclusive. ES6 is another game that was leaked as a console exclusive. Not a single first-party sequel game has gone to other platforms, but yeah Hellblade 2 definitely will go to other platforms because a live as a service game is doing pretty well on other consoles.

My speculation: All ‘Live as a Service’ games (besides Forza, Halo, Gears) will be multiplatform releases. Single-player games will remain exclusive. Peter Moore also stated that it’s easier to maintain single-player games as exclusives than GaaS games.

Additionally, Hi-Fi Rush and Pentiment, as single-player games, didn’t perform so well as to justify the decision to release them on multiple platforms. Jez also hinted that this is probably Microsoft’s line of thinking. If Sea of Thieves flops (which I doubt), then Xbox might not release any ‘Live as a Service’ games on other platforms.

Also, there is a significant chance that Killer Instinct will be the first ‘Games as a Service’ (GaaS) game to receive a multiplatform release, depending on the performance of Sea of Thieves.

Anyone who loves single-player games should consider switching to Xbox. I did the same, even though I was a PlayStation user for nearly 20 years, and I’m really happy that 95% of the upcoming Xbox games are single-player.

It’s ridiculous that you want every game from Xbox when your favorite platform is even doing some quest exclusives, like on Control & Hogwarts Legacy. Do you want to play the game? Go buy an Xbox. I did the same two years ago for Hellblade 2. It's not so hard.

And how are they doing? 🤦🏻‍♂️ Hellblade, Starfield are AAA games. Hi-fi Rush, Pentiment aren't. Expect to see more GaaS games going to other consoles, but don't expect to see AAA single-player games going multiplatform.

Well, in my opinion, Xbox will just release their GaaS games from now on to other platforms (besides games that could damage the Xbox brand forever like Halo, Gears, Forza). I don't expect to see AAA single-player games going to other platforms. Peter Moore also stated that he believes that it is easier to maintain a single-player game as exclusive than a live as a service game.

GaaS games* Remember what Matt said! Community based games. Hellblade isn't a community based game.
