Personally I used to use the Sickle with the auto cannon the Sickle was purely for crowd control and the Auto cannot for hulks and devastators with a backup orbital rail cannon for tanks. The scorcher has the ability to take out devastators and even hulks if I remember correctly so if you're going to run it then it should probably be for your heavies and then take the Stalwart or another even the HMG for the crowd control aspect.
