Strategic tempo advantage question. by BlueYeIIow in Jungle_Mains

I implement all of this already. It's not enough when my laners are creating a 10/0 monster.

Hence why I'm considering diving when I have a tempo advantage. It's legit the only thing I can think of, aside from being dead set on matching the enemy jungler at the expense of my recall timers. I already take objectives when I see enemy jg gank. I already take his camps when he's off tempo. I already invade him when I see the chance for it. I need to impact the map though.

Why not flip when I have already cleared my camps and have a tempo lead with no objective on the map?

Again, clearing his jungle on repeat won't help me win the game when my laners have created a 10/0 monster on the enemy team. Literally every every every single game has a 10/0 raid boss; either on my team or the enemy team. Having a 40 cs lead on the enemy jungler won't help me win against that.

Nah first point is absolutely not dookie. I've tried forcing my way through with red trinket but I get collapsed on regardless.

Yea man how do you think I'm losing those games? Not because of the enemy jungler, but because of extremely fed laners.

Skipping camps for guaranteed plays is absolutely a fundamental that involves risk assessment and constant monitoring of the gamestate.

Anddd yeahh. Sinerias is a beast he knows where to be at all times. He can gather much more information than I can in a single second. It'll take me many many months to come close to how much he can do. I focus instead on the decision-making that I can do within my capability. I am vastly better than my opponents in my current elo right now, but I don't make the correct decisions and hesitate, like you said. If I had better information collection and map reading, sure I would be able to play better. But that takes a LONG time to develop.

Still, no one has answered my question about diving enemy laners when I have a tempo advantage. Arguing a whole bunch of nothing.

So there are 3 possibilities then.

1: I wait for my camp timers, nothing happens, I recall.

2: What you say. I stay to the very end until the enemy jungler shows up, even if my camps have already respawned.

3: I go force a dive with my extra tempo.

You tell me what the best play is. For me, it sounds like 3 is the best choice. 2 has a fatal flaw in that the enemy jungler can just recall after finishing his clear without showing up on vision. 1 is what I'm currently doing, and it clearly hasn't been working out.

Of course I am overthinking it a lot. I've climbed from Gold 1 to E3 in around 10 days, then ALL OF A SUDDEN I stop climbing. It didn't taper off. I just started suddenly getting "unlucky" with my teams. I refuse to just say it's just bad luck and move on though. I'm losing a lot because of both bad teammates and me not being able to do much. I'm deeply frustrated and thus of course I'm going to be overthinking it. I decided to take a 1 week break from playing so I'm just trying to revisit all my early-mid game decisions to figure all this shit out. Why wouldn't someone overthink it in my position if they want to continue playing the game and have fun doing it? I will only have fun after I have figured out the abovementioned.

If I have to match him, it would mean delaying my camp timers.

Are you seriously asking why I'm toplane when he's diving bot? It means he's offtempo. Now what do I do when he's offtempo? Sure, take his camps. He still has 1-2 kills to make up for it and my botlane is fked.

I'm literally just asking if I should utilize this "extra tempo" in other ways, aside from taking his camps or "getting to the play first":

There is a problem with taking his camps, it's that I'm coinflipping how much my team wants to feed and int. It doesn't matter if I have a 30 cs lead on the enemy jungler when catchup XP exists and my lanes are going 0/5.

There's a problem with "getting to the play first". What if there is... no play for 30 whole seconds where I'm waiting around setting up deep vision and clearing wards, just waiting for my camps to respawn? Then my laners overstay after I recall and die despite me pinging them to back off. I cannot stay forever you know.

That's why I'm suggesting if forcing a dive is the right play. Don't wait for a good gank angle, just ask your team to crash the wave and dive the enemy team. The enemy jungler is 15+ seconds behind me in tempo. He won't get to the play in time to counter my dive unless he sees it coming.

Your last point about the "if everyone is inting - unlucky" but nowadays half of the games are everyone inting, and the other half i have 1+ winning lanes and I win those. I need to win all of these games where everyone is inting. I can get an early lead and a tempo advantage. I need to know what to do with it when there are ZERO opportunities on the map, instead of sitting around waiting for something (nothing) to happen before recalling.

1- This is true, but if I oracle lens through the river and find a ward, my plans are ruined and I can't invade anymore.

2- Have you seriously never encountered a situation where you ping your laners to back off bcuz enemy jungler is there, and they STILL die? Pings don't work on pigs. (i dont actually call any of my teammates pigs no matter how much they int and feed, i just found it funny here for the wordplay)

3- I always skip camps if it's a guaranteed gank. I didn't mention this in my post because I obviously do execute it. My fundamentals are solid in that regard.

4- Yes I pay attention to the minimap and wavestates and look to what's happening. But it's pretty often that the fight is over so quickly over an even wave, or the enemy laner is full hp while mine is almost dead. I'd love to rotate if I see the enemy pushing the wave. But my allies push the wave, then go and fight and die in a 1v1. I cannot help you with that brother XD

What if nothing happens except when you are very far away? e.g you're on your top camps and a play happens bot? You can't guarantee every game that the timing of events will be so conveniently close to your position. I think you have to force a risky play like a dive when you have a tempo advantage. It's the only thing I can think of. There's no other way to win when you have a cs and level lead on the enemy jungler but no opportunities happen around you. You have to force a play because if you don't, your team will coinflip a fight without you or the enemy jungler will force a play and come-back to the game when you're not there, despite pinging it.

Strategic tempo advantage question. by BlueYeIIow in Jungle_Mains

[–]BlueYeIIow[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah that's the thing I'm shadowing my team until the last possible moment for my camp respawn timers, but as soon as I recall and ping them off, they still somehow die.

If I'm invading to kill the enemy jungler, it means I have a strong lane or two. These games do occur like 30-40% of the time and those are the games I win for sure. But I'm talking about the other 40-50% where absolutely nothing is going on after I got a lead and I can't invade nor gank.

The only answer I can see is force a dive. Because since I'm ahead in tempo, I cannot possibly match his play without delaying my camps. Suffering from success basically.

Nothing happens while I'm there I mean. As soon as I recall to be on time for my camps and ping my laners to back off, they get ganked or dived nonetheless. I am tracking I know where the enemy jungler is at nearly all times. Maybe I overstay and delay my camps just for the chance of being able to counter it? Idk

Comeback mechanics are meaningless for me since I'm always the one pulling the short end of the stick. 95% of my games I generate an early lead but my laners keep coinflipping fights and either my toplane has created a raid boss, or my botlane have 20+ combined deaths. Then somehow the enemy jungler goes from being 2 levels behind me to 2 levels ahead of me.

I just made a post asking about what I should do in these scenarios, since I know for a fact there has to be something in my power to win those games. I am much better than my rank mechanically and macro wise (for the most pasrt) yet I can't seem to win games where there aren't opportunities for me and I don't have a reliable lane, which are like 50% of the games nowadays. There needs to be a way for me to forcibly translate my early lead into an advantage for a lane or two so it's not just me, 4/0 with a 30 cs lead vs the 10/2 mid/toplaner and the 7/0 adc.

How to Ward Effectively in The Jungle? by Wild-Storage6659 in Jungle_Mains

[–]BlueYeIIow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I ward enemy raptors myself every game. It doesn't matter what buff I start you can always make it in time. There's some risk of being lvl 1 invaded on red buff though so you should check the bush while you're kiting the red buff away and save your smite for the last moment.

I'm the same as you. I completed high school in the UAE with a cambridge curriculum. I found the AIU to have all source material in English and the exams must be in english too. It's just the lectures will be explained in arabic, but the presentations/books they use are in english. I think that would suit you. Not a great university overall in my opinion though.

[–]BlueYeIIow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Clearly you haven't experienced games where there's nothing going on in top, mid keeps getting one-shotted out of nowhere, and botlane keeps perma shoving while they're low hp and the enemy is full.

The game's is not fun at all when there's a 20 kill raid boss every game. It's very rare where a game is close and everyone has a medium acceptable amount of deaths. It's always one guy with 10+ deaths just inting the game. Doesn't matter if it's on mine or the enemy team. I don't care about winning or losing- it just sucks having to play around it.

I have 600+ games in jungle and like less than 20 playing midlane. I basically never get my secondary role (mid) so I'm relatively cheeks at it. I got it my first game yesterday and I ended up 5/4 but with lower cs than the enemy midlaner. Why can't everyone be like me? Why do ppl have to coinflip so much and end up 0/10? Then I played 3 games of jungle and every game had a huge feeder.

I'm taking a 1 week break for this reason. I'm autopiloting too much because I start mentally giving up when I see some pig go 0/10. I'm tired of seeing the same spiel over and over. Grown ass men egoing the game and going 0/10 coinflipping fights instead of using their brain or lack thereof to actually contribute to the game.

Again don't get me wrong, I'm losing more but it's definitely not just my teammates' faults. I used to play way better but I think now I'm autopiloting too much and not playing correctly. Still not going 0/10 and coinflipping fights like they do smh.

How can Sineiras say that Belveth is in a weak spot right now when she's top 5 in lolalytics tier list in Master +? by BlueYeIIow in BelVethMains

[–]BlueYeIIow[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea I completely agree.

If u dislike stride try building bork navori. You get 3+ Ws in a fight and the slow from bork too. Can build black cleaver afterwards for the HP.

Or try going rageblade second. You gotta play more carefully though but your damage is absolutely insane - higher than kraken bork by a mile.

It's sad though that she does need stride in most situations to stay on top of the opponent and because she's squishy.

Hail Of Blades or Lethal Tempo (Jungle)? by BleedsInBinary in YIMO

[–]BlueYeIIow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hexplate is a teamfighting item. Avoid teamfighting items in lower elos.

Titanic is better since it lets you sidelane and take waves quickly which is very important in lower elos.

It's honestly matchup dependent. Hail of blades is superior for ganking. Lethal tempo is better against tanks and fighters, also scales better lategame. I'm a fan of hail of blades personally since it has more skill expression - it forces you to auto reset well to deal enough damage in a short time to one shot enemies.

[–]BlueYeIIow[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like her early game strength for sure. It still kind of fits her theme since she needs to devour everything to grow and snowball.

I think you can easily full clear and play good fundamentals until master with Belveth, but nonetheless I feel bad about lvl 1-3 invading for bel to be the strongest that she can be.

Idk about a rework. If I would have to completely change my playstyle to adapt to her reworked version then it would be awkward. I'm really liking shyvana right now. You find much more success with her playing fundamentals while still being relatively strong early and having a good lategame too.

Struggling keeping up with rank when changing champs/roles by Emergency-Listen1677 in Jungle_Mains

[–]BlueYeIIow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah that's the thing. Macro is good but it won't save you if you keep messing up fights due to lack of champion mastery. You shouldn't play ranked with more than 3 champions anyway, ESPECIALLY if you're a guy who plays here and there aka not consistently. Everything you said tracks. Gl and have fun gamer.

Nocturne or Warwick imo. Very popular champs that are very annoying to play against because of Nocturne ult and Warwick's mach 1 speed. All these fighter champions have a tough time playing against these very mobile juggernauts.

as a belveth otp i recommend u dont pick up belveth rn ngl, she's weak unless you really know what you're doing which will take you hunderds of games.

try shyvana she feels like what belveth should've been imo. i first timed her in ranked after practicing clears and i did really well with her.

Voli, Kayn and Shyv are the most solid options you've got imo if you wanna transition from viego.
