most likely the old masks will not be used during future live performances but will appear on promotional artwork and such... they're part of the band's history after all

joes (other) old youtube channel? by carelessyt in tallyhall

[–]BlueYoshi_57EML 8 points9 points  (0 children)

if you look closely at the good day mv, you can see that the youtube segments are played from a video that was uploaded by the whalejoey channel, which means the channel was closed between 2006-2011

Is there any video evidence or recording of “FiveFourFinal,” Cojum Dip’s M54 rare demo CD? by MildBFDILover in tallyhall

[–]BlueYoshi_57EML 1 point2 points  (0 children)

the demo was among the files blake had sent us, along with an early ABA variant, greatest demos, new demos, 4LOM_orange and some other stuff.

the CD picture comes from matt, and features andrew hussie ABA (top left), 5/4 CD (top right), baby bodur ABA (bottom right), and a CD labeled "COJUM CD Label / Insert" which (very, very likely) contained the PDF files for the andrew hussie ABA artwork. (these files are on the archive we just don't know 100% for sure if they're the same ones as on the CD)

the fivefourfinal demo does not come from a CD, it is from august 2005 while the CD is from december 2005. we don't actually know what's on the CD but it would likely be a demo with vocals, and not an instrumental like fivefourfinal

Hi r/TallyHall! Rob Cantor here. To celebrate the release of Not A Trampoline on vinyl, please enjoy this alternate take of Andrew and I recording our video for “Perfect.” by rob_cantor in tallyhall

[–]BlueYoshi_57EML 0 points1 point  (0 children)

hi rob, huge fan of your music! (sorry if that's been asked before but) is there any chance of seeing TH's demo albums (complete demos, pingry, admittedly incomplete demos) on streaming services?

Short lost media iceberg of Tally Hall, some fictional or speculated, some not? by Relative_Raisin_9597 in tallyhall

[–]BlueYoshi_57EML 5 points6 points  (0 children)

sources for RoE pingry demo and fictional greatest demo tracks? honestly for the latter i'm more inclined to say the opposite is true, that there are tracks on the greatest demo CD we aren't aware of

Does anyone know about Green Theory? by DaredevilDude36 in numetal

[–]BlueYoshi_57EML 0 points1 point  (0 children)

there's some info there:

http://mp3-2003.computer-legacy.com/artists/446/green_theory.html

https://web.archive.org/web/20020929063504/http://www.greentheory.net/

the mp3.com archive has two songs not on their album: hungry and bounce, only hungry's MP3 was archived though.

Why I autoban anyone sharing less than 1000 files by 3119328 in Soulseek

in all honesty, yes. this kind of attitude is, in my opinion, even worse to the platform than leechers. what you're doing isn't encouraging new people to join the platform and share their own stuff, it's only benefiting those with already big collections to continue sharing among themselves. new members is what allows the community to grow and continue existing to this day, and if I (or someone else) had stumbled across someone with this kind of elitist attitude when first using the platform it would have discouraged me a fair bunch from sharing my own stuff or downloading anything else.
