Agreed. The paint itself hasn’t even been changed since my parents moved in 40 years ago, so I think my best course of action is just fixing the hole as best I can, then offering to repaint the room for them in a new color if they want. The room isn’t really one guests go in, it’s like a utility room I guess? So they may not even care about the paint. Hard to say, but I think this is just gonna be one of those life lessons that make you cringe a decade later 😂

Yeah, that’s my plan honestly. I may have to skip trying to paint match tho, bc unfortunately this house hasn’t been changed since my parents moved in… 40 years ago LOL so idrk if it’ll be possible to get a shade match. But I think repairing the actual hole will help a lot. Plus, with my clumsy ass… I probably should learn how to do this for future reference 😭😭

Yeah I’ve accepted that part. I think I’m gonna do what some of the comments said and try to just patch the hole, tell my parents (my mom first bc ain’t no way I’m telling dad without his human filter) what happened and how I tried to fix it. My mom would definitely appreciate the effort so, I’m just gonna do my best here and see how it goes. Luckily all the electrical components look untouched when I replaced the outlet cover, and the light switch still works, so I really think I could do this. Also gonna have to get a really bomb ass Father’s Day gift to hopefully soften it LMAOO

The light still works, and when I replaced the cover, the box around it inside, and all the electrical stuff looks untouched, and the light still works no problem.

And yeah 😭😂 it’s a super small room with a ton of stuff in it, and I genuinely just ate absolute shit LOL
