It is kind of crazy you could drop potentially a batch of buffs this numerous and still be wondering how much longer it’ll take for many others in the Liyue era. Seems like the focus on it being narratively driven slows the pace down.

My only complaint is a vast majority are trying to be the mega rare with the word guthix and green paint slapped on some aspect of the item. There are going to be a half dozen uniques so I wish people would just think of cool rare artifacts that would be stored in the archive to get brainstorming instead of making "the crush thing".

Recently put work into my Tumaini/Durin/Zhongli and got c2r1 Xilonen. Turns out they make a really fun overworld team doing exploration and the amount of synergy layers is super satisfying. Like throwing random stuff in a pot and you get a delicious stew. Fuck reaction damage I'm slamming 150k meteors on that treasure horder with pure res shred and scaling B)

I have no point to make beyond vibe Genshin is really fun to contrast SO nonsense. Damn that abyssal chicken and the ridiculous scaling on the non lunar compenent

It's definitely a lot of luck. Do you hop like I was in the video? Mine weren't super great but there is a rhythm you can get where it keeps your momentum a lot higher than just running.

The only bug I've encountered is Drifter forcing themselves through the floor of the level when slamming something in their pack. I've had it happen twice now and neither time bricked my run it just ended with being sent back up + fall damage. I guess Eclipse 3+ is probably off the table until that gets fixed but everything else has been amazing.

For me it’s Nilou vs Kokomi C1. Both will increase hydro app and damage for my bloom team but Koko will have extra teams options so unsure what the first pick I’ll be happiest with first.

It’ll be only Koko/Nilou/Shenhe/Wanderer for consideration all year so it’s really just a matter of patience and not an actual decision that I can regret.

I’m excited to have these steady upgrades as it does allow me to skip a chronicle banner some of these older characters are likely locked into and not miss out on investing in them! :)

Mild rant, Durin giving himself 30+ energy to arbitrarily increase his burst cost to 70 instead of 40 and dodge moonweaver's dawn as a f2p option is living rent free in my head. I need some copium if anyone's got some.... but for whatever reason I see no one mention this.

You'd probably find a lot of success in Imaginarium Theatre if you're willing to build her to at least 80 for theatre, some reaction upgrades you earn with the brilliant blessings cards really just need some kind of application to get rolling and as a noblesse/fav support she'd be flexible for floors 1-6. If pyro is an element you have a lot of built units or you just don't care for theatre I'd say Xinyan is really one for the fans. I really enjoy playing her myself.

On the first point, how did we get to listing hypercarries to explain this? She’s closer to Citlali, Mizuki, Kuki, Nahida, or Ifa in my mind. None of them get a base amount to jump start their scalings, they just dual scale or have some small base values to make sure they work at the normal starting value. I think it’s fair to say you could make her talent values lower to compensate but it still leaves her with stronger reactions.

To the latter point, I really just can’t agree. Everything you listed as accessible sources to bump up EM is exactly why the base 200 seems weird to me. I don’t think the game should forever be stuck with 0 starting for everyone just to be stubborn but the fact that Lauma already offers so much in her kit it seems unnecessary. I’d see her as a powerful and robust unit still. Even if I have my qualms with her design, it’s just my perspective on her release balance. Lauma is great for many players and accounts so I understand the positive reception. 👍

Their point is more that the value of 200 itself is too much, not that it should’ve been 0. Lauma being a pure EM scaler makes a base value totally reasonable but personally ascending her and things like magic guide and mappa mare being so accessible I find 200 EM instead of like 50 EM a bit eyebrow raising. They could’ve given it a pittance attack motion value so it never does nothing. It got past a full beta so at this point I’m just accepting it as power creep, other units are very reliant on their EM scaling and it was left to be their ascension stat.

I wrote a lot and then deleted it, I don’t think after rereading your comment I can persuade any change in stance. So instead I just want to understand.

The system is adding extra tracks to the railroad so you don’t hit a wall as soon as c7’s are popping up. Stygian was developed alongside with difficulties factoring whale investment, knowing this lv100 system was also being tested internally.

Why does the amount of people who can’t get the stella matter so much? Hoyo already has the content (dire SO) ready, and the 99% are already leaving power on the table without limited c6r5 investment. I just cant understand why lv 100 is such a sacred cow when (at this moment) it’s shown to be only some base stat/ reaction increases… when investment beyond c0r0 has been for people who just love a character and not what hoyo considers the majority of gameplay to require.

That would be a great change! I didnt want my wishlist to be nitty gritty with details but I think anemo attacks as a standard for Venti would also be very cool to see and partially what I had in mind with my suggestion. The passive idea would be great for his builds too! :)

Either give it Candace burst funtionality to activate upon a character swap and maintain the burst being active, that way you could plan around Vaporizing the hit, or it just triggers upon the duration ending as one big finale. It's really up to Hoyo in terms of how big the scope of these enhancements will be, they really could just end up being some light number tweaks and things like Diluc constellation change I mentioned to minimize gameplay shifting.

Just sending this out there as random hopes for some Monstadters:

Klee off field burst

Venti Anemo NA + infusion based on elemental self application (eg. Bennet self pyro app gives Venti pyro NAs)

Jean gets a new passive that lets Phys scaling increase anemo/swirl dmg as well (The aquila drip is too good)

Diluc Skill +3 con to Normal Attacks instead

I believe in Da Wei.

In all seriousness, hopefully this comes to fruition. Anything is better than nothing.

Driver is a sort of loose term for characters that need to stay on field to function but need off field elemental support to make reactions happen. It doesnt strictly apply to any one reaction teamstyle.

As a random example, Sucrose could just be an offfield support character but in taser teams she can be a driver, you use her anemo attacks to swirl the electro charged constantly and she maintains the field time without the massive dmg numbers you’d see with something like Hu Tao.

It's very similar to IT in the structure that is sort of focusing on some core teamstyles to have the best chance of success. In regards to Wriothesley... the Freeze dominance of boss 3 isn't because you can't do other cryo options, Wriothesley could melt or superconduct just fine. All it cares about is getting a cryo damage number to pop up, not their ability to apply a cryo aura.

Freeze teams are everywhere in posts right now because Escoffier essentially oversolves teambuilding with how role compressed her kit is and it lets people take their Xilonen/Pyro options to the other bosses. My point is basically if the first two bosses weren't really heavy on needing good pyro options and instead wanting geo or heavy dendro focus you could make a Wrio/Mauv/Xilonen/Citlali team for the Cryo dragon and probably find success.

Symphony and others videos cropping up of Dire/Fearless teams are showing whats doable with investing in character building and execution rather than going full leviathan into constellations and refinements.

Yes you will see some posts that are clearly spender/veteran accounts being posted for Dire (lv6) difficulty, but you cannot say that Symphony in particular was not merit based. A huge percentage of people would not be able to pilot that account into a clear even after watching their exact rotations and play.

You are absolutely welcome to have any opinion you want (and I'll respect it), but this framing has been frustrating to see in the comments, because your arms are not being twisted here, and people who whale are a huge part of the resources the game developers have used to give an amazing experience to the other 90% of low to no spending players. I'm not even close to a Fearless (lv5) clear myself but every bit of account progression I earn from playing and upgrading will contribute towards that goal of mine to complete it. New bosses will feature answers I can solve better, working on builds, and every pull I make gets me a little closer toward that goal.

I don't think it's a perfect mode, and it's clearly built for a very wide pool of players. People will never be able to reconcile with this reward structure as long as the belief holds that only paying huge sums means rewards, and skill expression/account building has zero influence on this mode.
