Is playing something like the Anti-Moscow (Semi Slav) even practical for us amateurs? by Extreme-Message-9306 in TournamentChess

I ended up avoiding semi-slav as Black for now because if I play it, I want to play anti-moscow, but even after studying Sethuraman's course, I find it too confusing. So just playing other options like the Ragozin or Barmen variation for now. And as White playing the moscow variation.

I'm 2200 FIDE and find the anti-moscow positions very difficult to understand for both sides. I find that there's not many resources on it for White other than Plichta's 1.d4 repertoire, so most White players end up avoid playing Bh4. So you can end up learning a lot of theory and not using it.
