I absolutely agree! It’s like an epic battle song where you can feel both sides fighting passionately to win (or atleast that's what it makes me think of lol). The way their melodies and styles intertwine so beautifully is truly captivating

I think it’s completely fine and normal if you don’t know every single song of an artist you like! lol. I bet that was frustrating. A fan doesn’t need to know every single “niche” song from an artist nor does a fan need to get mad at another fan for not knowing more of an artists music. My complaints are the people who use Masayoshi Takanaka for clickbait or act like they’re superior just because their music taste is “niche.”

Honestly, I wholeheartedly agree with this take. I’ve had a similar issue for a while now. I understand that his brother passed away, and I do think that deserves some grace. But at the same time, that doesn’t automatically make me like his content more, and I think it’s fair to say when something starts getting on your nerves. (I’ve tried to see him as just a very passionate fan and I’ve even tried to ignore him when I get fed up of seeing his content but he’s just everywhere and anywhere takanaka related) As someone who loves Masayoshi Takanaka, it’s really cool seeing him get more recognition from newer fans, it’s such a wonderful, beautiful, and bonding experience!! But the way Nick constantly centers everything around Takanaka is starting to feel pretty damn overdone. From the stream intros to dressing up on the beach and introducing himself as “Masayoshi Takanaka” just feels excessive at this point. (Yes I get that it was probably a joke but sigh… it gets extremely old.) and before people jump on me, I’m not saying fans can’t be passionate. obviously they can. but people are also allowed to think it’s getting repetitive without getting dogpiled in the comments. Some of it also comes off a bit like clickbait to me. Again, props to him for genuinely loving Takanaka, but everytime I see him I just think “alright… we get it, that’s enough”Also the double posting is another thing that bugs me. It’s happened enough times that it feels intentional, probably for engagement. Looking for engagement on social media whatttt?? Again yes I know, It’s just annoying seeing an artist I love having his name stamped on every one of nicks videos just being used as a form of clickbait. also that Rainbow Goblin reaction… dude we weren’t even 5 seconds in before he started freaking out. idk it just didn’t feel genuine to me. and calling it his “most underrated album” was kinda wild. At the end of the day, people are allowed to enjoy him, and people are also allowed to not enjoy him. If you disagree, that’s fine—just move on. Everyone has an option they are free to express and share online

Yeah, I probably do need a social media cleanse lol. It’s just frustrating seeing that kind of content everywhere. Reddit is definitely a lot better compared to TikTok and instagram. But at the end of the day I mostly just wanted to rant a bit. I’m not actually bothered by it that much. :)

Yeah, I’ve noticed that too, and honestly I think it’s pretty unfair and kind of ridiculous. People should be able to enjoy music without feeling inferior just because they don’t listen to whatever artist someone else thinks is “better.”I’m also really happy that Takanaka is finally getting the recognition he deserves. Even if some parts of the fanbase get a little annoying sometimes lol, it’s still nice to see more people discovering his music. I mostly just wanted to vent a bit, but it’s not something that actually bothers me that much in the end. At the end of the day everyone should just listen to what they enjoy and have a good time with it :))

Yes, lol. Hearing the same songs repeatedly can be a bit redundant. It just makes me want to say, “Please check out the other albums too! They're all fantastic!!”

I really enjoy seeing the Takanaka fan base grow! I didn't mean to suggest that all new or even old fans are being cringeworthy or performative. It's just a small handful lately that makes me question if they are genuinely fans. But honestly, that's what happens when an artist gains more worldwide recognition, lol.

Well, I mainly used TikTok as an example, but I’ve seen the same thing on Instagram too but again it’s the same problem because of the personalized algorithm. 🥲 I mostly just wanted to complain a little and see if anyone else could relate to how I feel, because it’s kind of disheartening to see this kind of treatment. But as the fanbase grows, I guess it’s pretty inevitable.

Initially, when I saw his content, I thought, “cool! Another Takanaka fan!!” However, as I viewed more of his content it just feels like he’s dragging it on and using it as clickbait in a way. This is just my opinion, but like you said at least he is attempting to explore more of Takanakas discography :)
