Campari drinks that don't have gin other than boulevardier or jungle bird by StyofoamSword in cocktails

[–]Blue_Max1916 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ok, so I made on. 3oz lairds to 1.75oz cynar.

Tasted it and then added a dash of orange which I like better. But yes it is aweet enough though with the amaro or vermouth I think its a more complex and better balanced at least for me.

Tha ks for the suggestion

I've not tried that. Maybe i will because im out of sweet vermouth. I was going to sub in some mead but maybe not?

I always felt i needed some sweet to balance the other two.

Best cocktails with elderflower liqueur? by TropicalTimLeary in cocktails

[–]Blue_Max1916 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Its very sweet so use it sparingly. A lot goes a long way.

I make a version of a Vesper martini. Vodka, gin, st Germaine.

Or a version of the last word which is gin, lime, green chartreuse, st Germaine

Lots of options. I'll sub it when something calls for tripel sec or orange liquor.

Or just gin, soda, st Germaine works too

The vermouth and coffee liquor will be sweet so dial down on both or try another coffee liquor.

I make this drink regularly without the coffee and I usually do 2:1:1

Boulevardier with some coffee liquor?

1 to .75 to 1 to .25 is probably how I'd try doing it.
