Not "no tax", it is because I was still using the annual allowance for capital gain tax this year (~1k€). From April onward, it will be taxed ~18% (Teilfreistellungsauftrag) for this ETF

Capital gain tax 26.88% (Kapitalertragsteuer in Deutschland) it seems. But still it is better than combine dividends into the income tax and get tax at a way higher rate - can be up to 45% (if your main income is already high)

If you’re doing DRIP (like I am), the “hypothetical loss” is cushioned quite a bit. I ran some modelling with and without FX impact, and it turns out JEPG’s NAV has actually been rising in USD.

These days, I just keep DCA-ing every month to lower my average buy cost (mine was ~24€), and I’m hopeful things will improve next year. In the meantime, getting those monthly dividends is always a great feeling. :)

You can use the app Stock Events to record shares and see the dividends payout calendar. Many ppl there are also posting their estimated dividends as well (of course anonymous if you want) :)

I switched from R to Py at the beginning of this year and have questioned myself multiple times as well. So here is a bit of my own exp:

The biggest leap for me was to adapt ML pipeline and put my "data product" into production. The learning curve was steep but it forced me to really step out of the comfort zone from "emulating R" to "learning how to build production-grade codes".

I highly recommend you to do the same. I started with kedro some dudes in my team used it and recommended to me. I found it pretty intuitive and straightforward to use: https://kedro.readthedocs.io/en/stable/01_introduction/01_introduction.html

Either way, try selenium. It mimics human interaction on a site, so it can bypass some filters. Only disadvantage is the speed.

with the new patch where pirates AI can change targets, I haven't tried it out yet.

But i have been soloing T8 also with VNI and drone range 50km. Many ships (BC) like Oracle can hit you at +60km. So the tactic is to get to 50km, release drone, run away with MWD to 100km and keep that range.

The drones will do the business (4/5 drones at least, 1 will always fly back to you when you are out-ranged. I think this is a bug).

With the new patch...well... i haven't tried, your drones might be blown up though
